Why is my red BRAKE light comming on randomly ??
The red Brake light is comming on randomly for a couple of seconds and then shutting off. This happen to anyone else?
My parking brake is deffinatly off and my brakes should still be fine, might be comming close to needing new brakes?
Any input from you fellow CL members?

when my brakes are cold this has happened for me....but by the time i get out of my driveway and down a couple streets, its gone. so if its cold by you, shouldnt be a big deal. i did check the manual and the guys above touch on that: check brake fluid level. mine was perfectly fine

FYI if your fluid level is ok, it may be your master cylinder cap. The dealer seemed to know something about this (common issue I guess) so they replaced my cap after I had the same problem.

put down the blunt and click the search button, or better yet just read the owners manual. i think you could have answered your question that way.

I heard of this problem once before, Its called "ghost brake". Strange term but yeah...its when your car has gone through a terrible braking trama. Like slamming on the brakes when going 90+ miles per hour. My mechanic was telling me that the shock creates a vacuum of pressure in the lines which is constantly in flux...thus giving off an irregular reading to your brake sensor.
What i would do is reverse engine the problem and revaluate if the cost to bleed the lines vs. calling the brake busters is more effective.
I'm just bull sh!tting i don't know whats wrong.
never had the problem cross my fingers never will.
