You think a 1.4" front and 1" rear drop is too low???

it wasn't probally a little dip, and yes, you do have to be carefull w/ a dropped car. But 1.4" on an acura, isn't gonna make a difference. i'm lowered 2+ and barely rub

I drove my Accord around for a year before hydraulics with it tucking rim in the back and tucking tire up front. I cruised 50 miles a day with my oil pan 2 inches off the ground...I never had any real problems. YOu just have to be an alert driver and know the roads.

I think our CLS's are close to an SUV with the wheel gap.

His name says it all. When a car is ultra lowered it has to be dangerous... unless you know every inch of every road you drive on, it's a bad idea. What if you have to go on a road you don't know? Do 40mph the whole way?

The problem is when you see these lowered cars going down bumpy freeways with 3 passengers in them. I watched a CRX run down the freeway filled with kids and it had sparks flying off the bottom of the car on every bump, the driver was clueless.

Yeah... the lower you get the more I sweat. I'm worried the sparks might ignore the fuel spilling from your tank.
Seriously... Unless you have a topagraphical map down the the centimeter you could definatly hit a small bump and do serious damage. What about a rock? Winter driving? Did you ever hit one of those ice blocks off a truck? OUCH!
40 miles an hour might not seem fast, but to your muffler hitting the ground its fast enough.
