I have a question why having nitrous for the street? for street drag racing or what?

Nitrous does not make any sense on the street! It is purely for the drag strip for comeptition.

I never had a car with Nitrous but I think it is NOT practical like SC or a Turbo.

 

yeah, it's just for street racing but uhh that's only what I've "heard"...

 

People race on the street. Some people also drive the car they track daily.

N2O gets u to the other light faster. Ur probably thinking that N2O is instant and too powerful, something that would get u going to fast to stop. Nitrous is instant and powerful, but remember though it takes time to build up speed. If u really think about it what is the difference between a modded Phoney car (400+) vs a CSL w/ a 100 shot. We are both going to pick up speed pretty quick, but in the end it really matters who gets there 1st.

i have a 4cyl so sometimes its nice to have the extra boost in power

i hardly ever spray on the street tho. i use it more for intimidation purposes. purging at people is really, really funny.

 

HAAAAAAA funny that u say that. Sometime ago I pulled up to a light and there was a Z28. I started eyeing the guy, actually his big titted passenger. So the guy give me the look and starts revign his engine, so I do the same, yea CAI and stock E, now theres sound. After all that was done the guy purges on me. At that time I didn't have my purge installed, actually I still don't have my purge installed. So taking his purging on me as a challange, I cracked upen my bottle, break Tqed and waited for the light. Light turned green and he was already accross the intersection before I even got my back tyres across the staging line. I waited to finially get to 3K and when I fliped the switch it only took me less than 3 seconds to pass him. When we got to the next light the guy was now in his car, he rolles down his window and asks me what I have done. I then reply to him with a question of how much u spraying. His response; "oh man I don't spray nitorus I just use the purge for show. FKin amatures . When I heard that I shook my head and made a right at the light from the straight ahead lane.

I don't have nitrous...but it's funny when you kinda egg someone on the street and you get them to use their nitrous. Me and my brother was cruising around and was pulling around this old Supra...guy didn't want us to pass him (this was around town in city streets, and not on the highway). Funny to get him to shoot that nitrous just so he can keep ahead of us. His G35 easily hung with this dude...we never intended to pass him since our turn was coming up...but it's just funny for him to do that.

 

I don't street race, I've never been to the strip to race, but I love having Nitrous. It just makes the car more fun to drive!!!!!

 

Nitrous does a great job at increasing power for those quick runs on the street or at the strip. But as I have always stated, it is VERY limited in its overall ability.

It has no use at an auto-x, road course or spirited back road driving. You would be empty after the first lap not to mention the surge of power it gives would make powering out of a turn difficult. In other words, it has no use 99% of the time. But it is that 1% which is so attractive considering the price/HP ratio.
