Why doesnt most guys have a white CL-S?

I like the white on the cl-s, but i noticed most of the guys here have either black or silver. I want white but my old man says it looks like a chick ride. I think it looks classy. Well what are your reasons for not getting white

The color of my wife's 1999 Toyota Avalon XLS is diamond pearl white. It looks great when clean, but crappy when even a little dirty.

My CL-S is satin silver. Not the coolest color (yeah, black!), but not as difficult to keep looking good as white or black, IMHO.

IMO white doesn't shine enough when clean.

I have white and love it. I think that it looks great on a car with nice lines such as ours. I also love the black interior available with the white CL-S. It's also very easy to keep looking great all the time.

IMHO, silver is ok but too common. Black looks sharp, but is really a pain to keep clean and scratch-less.

Just my opinion of course, It all comes down to personal preferences. Just don't let someone else decide for you! Go with the color that turns you on...

My last car was white. But after 8 years, it was time for a change so I got silver. Its a lot easier to keep clean-looking too.

choosing a color was the hardest part of buying the car. i chose silver, but 10k miles later i was dying to get pimp daddy gold, went to my dealer and asked to trade-in for the gold all while losing $6k between the trade-in of my silver and buying a new gold one. anyway, white's nice, i just didn't see myself driving a white car.

I have a white CL-S. After 4 yrs of Black on a Lude Si, I decided to change to white. I think it looks classy given the line of the CL. Silver was also nice, but too common. I wanted Red too, but wife talked me out of it

Silver is too common.
Black is too hard to keep clean and shows scratches easily.
White is more for a luxury car. Not good for a sports car in my opinion.
Pimp Daddy Gold is an AWESOME color, but I was afraid I wouldn’t still like it after 3-4 years.

RED IT IS BABY !!!!!!

It looks like a chick ride. sorry, couldn't resist.

I took black because there are technical studies which indicate clearly that Black cars are faster. Something to do with the gravitational pull of the pigment across the horizon, but they are definitely faster.

I think the white looks great. I was trading in a white MX-6 and went for as extremely different as possible (PDG). Having had a white car, I can say that it never looks as dirty as it is - and when it is freshly waxed, it looks awesome! My next one will probably be white.

My last two cars were black. Try spending a summer in Houston with a black car. "Brothers, can you feel me?" I now drive a White CLS. Much cooler in the summer time. It does not shine like some other colors, but it still looks good.

Just had a white white car and wanted a change, so I went for the gold. White has a lot of advantages like touching up nicks in the front bumper, staying cool etc. Get what you want.

I chose Silver because it's easier to keep clean. It's harder to see scratches and water spots, and is also cooler in hot weather. I had a black Camaro years ago and it was definitely a pain to keep clean, scratches were always very noticable, and it was very, very hot in the summer. White is just too nasty looking when dirty, even only a little bit dirty. As for red, too visible for cops and fades too fast.

I wanted parchment interior; that limited me to white, red, black exterior. Black is out because Texas is just to dusty. I liked white but when I saw white and red cars next to each other, red won. Also the wife said red which played into the equation. (???)

I was debating between silver and white, but there are way too many silvers out there, so I made up my mind that if I go with the CL-S, I'm going to get the white. Also, once I saw the CompTech CL-S, it kind of solidified my decision.....

I decided to try white this time, and agree with Sycd for all the same reasons. Silver seems to be the color of choice among our Northern California board members.

Besides, 3 out of my last 5 vehicles were red, my last car was black, silver fades to fast, and I could not see myself in "pimp gold". Too bad there weren't more choices!

I don't have white either.
I really wanted the blue but there was no way I was going to pass on a Type-S

I loved the color of by dark-red teg. I thought the CL's red was too bright, so I settled on the "me-to silver".
I love the black-leather interior.

I got silver because I didn't want white and the person who was paying for the car didn't care for a dark color so I got silver. I don't care the most I'm really gonna see is the inside and that is black so I'm happy.

I got white because I just think it looks the best with the lines of the car. Also, I like the parchment interior best (just hate keeping it clean). I agree tinted windows are a must with white. That is my next addition.Just get the color YOU like. Who gives a s@#t if some people (insecure?) think it looks like a chic ride?

I was really close to going with the white for my CL-S. Despite what some say, I think it is pretty easy to keep white clean. I do agree that it does ot shine as nice as darker colors when all done up!

However, I had driven a white-over-beige(leather) 1994 Accord EX-L Coupe for the last six years and EVERYONE around me was saying to go with something 'different!'

So, I did ...

I liked the white. They had it on back order for 3 weeks when I bought my car. I got the silver since I've never owned a Silver car *and* I wondered how often I'd be cleaning the white.

The black is very nice looking, but scratches are brutal *and* are great in winter, but hell in summer.

Red -- looks amazing with Zaino. I think the cops think so too *and* will pull you over with a free ticket
