I'm writing a paper on street racing. And I need all of your opinions on why you like to street race. Also I'll write about how street racing has changed through the years. If you guys could tell me the following it would be great help to me essay.
1. why you like to street race?
2. how is street racing organized? like where to go etc?
3. how has street racing changed from 60's to present? muscle car to import?

Uh, street racing isn't organized at all, is it?
Going out to a track for timing runs is, but street racing is more spontaneous than anything else......

i just like the rush. i think its fun to run someone you dont know and take out cars that don't expect it, like the guys in mustang GTs and TAs. um, as far as organization, in dallas theres a few spots where people get together, mainly on northwest highway, but more often its spontaneous when you're drivin down the freeway and see rice or muscle. thats my input. oh ya, and as far as evoloution, use Greese to Fast and the Furious as a good example.

1. i personally think that anything is FUN when you're not supposed to do it. it's a rush thinking that there's a possibility that you would get busted by the cops. and especially if you race and WIN... that just makes everything even more worth the trouble...

2. there are a couple of known spots for the racers to gather up before heading off to the site. around california, i would say the biggest or most popular place for racing is Sylmar, CA. there's also another place located north of La Crescenta, CA. as for as organization goes, when it's time to race, everyone just understands each other because people start driving off, and you just follow.

3. i have no idea how much it has changed from the 60's.
