Going pass redline, is it normal???
Going pass redline, is it normal???
Ok, coming back from lunch, I was going in SS. I was going like 70, looked down and the RPM is pass redline in 2nd at about 7k rpm(My redline is 6600), I thought the computer was suppose to stop u from going pass the redline??? I got scared and pushed it to 3rd right away. Why didnt the computer stop at the redline? Later i tried it again and indeed it goes up to 7k rpm and nothign happens.

The redline is below the fuel cut-off. You know you hit the fuel cut-off if the engine "bucks" at the higher rpm you mention.
Yo yaya, when in ss mode u have to shift after 2nd gear. If not your car will redline and possibly hit the fuel cutoff. In auto it shifts itself before redline. I told u man read that manual, its full of useful info.
