why compare cl vs. maxima?

why compare cl vs. maxima?
i don't understand why people compare a nissan to an acura. especially the maxima, its a four door family sedan. i've even had two of them before my cl-s. now i own a two door luxury sport coupe and if i'm gonna compare it to something it would be the is300, 330 or clk 320. when people make theses comparisions its like your bringing the cl-2 down a level. not cool. any opinions on this?
