Why the CL-S gas pedal.....

feels very heavy on cold mornings...?

This morning temprature was posted at 16. I drove slowly until Engine warms up a bit. Then I decided to push it a bit and noticed that gas pedal "feels" heavier or gives you moore resistance than usual, the car will react as if you are pulling a large block of cement...?

Anyone experienced the same?

everything in the car feels heavy on cold mornings.

for instance... try and turn up/down the volume of the radio using the head unit knob... the thing barely turns when its cold.

even turning the steering wheel is a chore when its cold.

I would say its prolly cuz all the lubrication turns to molasses when its cold... just has to warm/loosen up.

I didn't notice that. I did hear a really big creak as I pulled out of the driveway with the body/frame being so cold. It was loud enough to make me thing I broke the thing in half.

My windshield defroster sucks. I drive almost an hour and this one patch of ice on the windshield never thawed - it was thick ice (a virtual icicle) but still...

DITO THAT....
I had 8 DEGREES on the way to work this morning.

Now it's time for all the "warm weather" pricks to chime in with their smart ASS posts.

Well, if they do, we can launch into a discussion about ice-damn removal. That will bore them to death...

Hey now! Not all of us are out in the dark! Can more power be going into the engine and getting it warm when the car is cold be the reason? Just a guess

I have noticed that since the cold weather appeared, my tranny doesn't shift as smoothly until the engine has completely warmed up.

No power, that's right! I forgot about that. We might see some people get their CLs stuck in the garage. I know my garage door has a manual release...
Thats what happens when you let environmentalists run the state. I saw on the news, Apple Computer had their juice turned off.

I wore shorts and a t-shirt today.

I drove with my windows open today.

I had to wear sunglasses cuz it was too sunny.

The view I have from my room right now.

Hey, even if our power goes out, it'll still be sunny out here...

Our low was 53 degrees today. however, it was still a nasty cold day for miami. rained all day, no sun. And was windy too!

But, that's florida weather for ya. Last week we had our air conditioners running!

11 degrees here this morning when leaving for work. I can't say I really noticed the car feeling heavy but every car feels different in some way when it's that cold.

But pity them because their the ones who will never get to enjoy the full value of their investment. They will never use the heated seat button clicked forward.
There, that should shut them up!
