Who's running PIAA 001's?

One of my Polarg M6's burn out today after like 4-5 months. I'm thinking about upgrading to the PIAA 001 Ion Yellow's. Wanted to know how easy they were to wire up. Can you use the factory wiring so they just come on with the headlights? How about mounting them?

Thanks

Did you put them in with gloves on? You really can't touch them during installation...oils from your fingers create hot spots on the glass and blow the lights. My Polargs on my CL were a year old and were fine.

I sell the 001 Plasma Ion. The kit includes everything you need to install with step-by-step diagramed directions. No cutting, splicing or modification is required. Here is a set on ebay but if you buy them from me without bidding I can take $5 off shipping, just mention the CL forum.

Below is a picture I found of a CL member who has the 001

mine are on right now with just the 3M adhesive. I was planning on getting some real hardware and doing it right, but this double sided stuff is incredibly strong. no way they are going anywhere unless someone decides to rip them off.

which is the only reason I will eventually get some screws in there.

oh and I mounted them inside of the black plastic housing from an 03 cl.

no I used all the PIAA wiring harnesses that came with it.

I tapped into the fuse for the navi to get my signal so I can turn on/off the PIAA's independent of the regular lights or corners.

I'm going to replace the PIAA switch with the factory TL fog lamp switch though.
