Who's gotten a re-spray from Acura?
I seem to recall that a couple of folks were working in getting thier front ends re-sprayed by Acura. Any luck? Did you have to work through the District Rep or just the dealer? I ask because after 15K miles, my front end looks like it's been through 100K or the 24 hours of Lemans at about 150mph. The black paint doesn't help, but the hood, bumper and front of the fenders are totally peppered. I was quoted $1,000 to have a total front end respray, but was wondering if Acura would take care of it if I raised enough hell. I knew I should have gotten a clear bra right off the bat! Thanks in advance!

To the best of my memory, nobody got a repaint due to chips. A couple did get repaints when it was determined that the paint was too thin (using a deneso(?) meter) by the district rep.

CO-CL-S - Were you over by the car wash on Arapahoe (near Flatirons Acura) yesterday? I was washing my car when a red CL with what looked like the Fox wheels that you have drove by. If it was you, thanks for the wave, your car looks great!

I do all my own hand wash/wax (believe it or not, I actually enjoy it...relaxing in an odd way). I think that the carwash on 28th in Boulder (on the east side, just north of valmont) does hand washing/waxing. DO NOT let them run your car through their automatic wash. I ended up with some nice wheel scuffs from it. There is also a new place down by Flatirons Mall, it is a big automatic place, but I would bet they offer hand-jobs (for your car of course) too....it's on Interlocken Parkway

I got my car resprayed by Acura shortly after purchase-- I bought it "certified" so I bitched enough in the showroom and they resprayed the front and the back bumper--Now it looks new! And they did a damn good job because I have put 12k miles on it since purchae ( had 9k) and I dont have a single chip--KNOCK ON WOOD!
