Actually the last kit sold very quickly... Titand19 - very good buyer and was patient while I removed it, packaged it and shipped it.

This kit (courtesy of experience, much better turbo and the introduction of the E-manage and extra injector), is significantly better, more reliable and makes more power...

Also, any idea whether a CL-s SC could be retrofitted for a CL-P?

I am sure ThinJim will end up mounting his turbo at pretty much the same spot as ours... the exact bends might differ slightly, but the general manifold will be very similar. His motor is built, so I would expect much more power than the measly 419whp @ 5.8psi..!!

Either way, all this stuff is good for ours cars and the CL community!
Generally the same place, just a slightly different idea on exhaust plumbing. Don't ask, pics later. Yes, much more power, and I say this good naturely, when all is done, if anyone should surpass my WHP, I will retake the throne by "bumping boost just enough". Anyone for dyno wars?

7000 wow .. dont expect these things to fly.

im totally with you for making a turbo kit ...

but 7000 ... can you please explain where you are coming up with this figure.

Because from what I see I could do something similar for a lot cheaper

Bosch 440/550cc Injectors - 200
T3T4 - 500
Custom Headers/Manifold - 600
Tial Wastegate - 250
Custom piping tig welded for turbo and wastegate etc etc - 300 MAX
HKS SS - 275
Greddy Emanage - 600 (around there right?)
Autometer Boost Gauge - 50 Dollars
All lines - 50 Dollars
Hardware - 50 Dollars MAX
Custom 3" Turbo Back Exhaust - 500 Dollars from Miami Muffler

So lets add all this up

We are lookg at around 3500 dollars. Lets also add 800 dollars for miscellaneous stuff (ie. new oil and other over looked stuff).

Grand total 4300 dollars. All the prices I said were on the high end too. Y ou can typically knock off a bunch of cash if you look in the right place or know the right people/

Im not ragging on you at all, im all for a turbokit ... but for 7g ... thats just a wee bit much

You're prices are WAY off, and the materials you listed are FAR less quality than what is on his car.

The T3T4 turbo is too small for the amount of air the J32 flows. Also, the Garrett ball bearing turbo used in his setup was perfectly matched to the J32 by Garrett.

The exhaust manifold is based upon Comptech headers. $1200 right there before you even go into fabrication.

E-manage requires a custom harness so make that about $800 or more. Also you'll need the fuel pressure regulator, $280 from Comptech. The autometer gauge used is $200 not $50. Add in a fuel pressure gauge, trim panel w/gauge pods.... etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure for under $5000 you could throw a kit together. But do you want it to perform like allmotor's kit? If you do spend the cash, don't be cheap. If you wanna go cheap buy the Comptech S/C and get nearly the same amount of power. (about 40whp less)

EDIT: You also didn't even include pricing for an intercooler

To really have even more control of the boost,
add (1) boost controller, then don't forget:

ignition harness
injector harness
3bar map sensor
pressure sensor harness
e-manage support tool

then pay someone to install it and tune the goodies above

and finally... my secret purple electronic box,,,,, 750.00

no, it's not cheap and i doubt the above mentioned will be used in allmotors. but it is expensive and to really do it right, the inside of the motor should be addressed unless the turbo kit is built with low boost which would work fine on our motors and deliver a great punch. I'm of the opinion that nothing more than 400 at the wheels at most, which is a lot, or else you'd be asking for it.

I'd say allmotor has his hands full putting one together for an auto. good luck man!

7k is not absurd, it is the bottom end for a decent turbo kit. 8k for a very good turbo kit is pretty much very common. And you don't want to mess with crap parts when you turbo your car otherwise you could run into big problems. You have to pay to play, and you don't want to mess around with boost.

i'm of the opinion that anything over that in a cl-s is a waste, period.

Once you add the exhaust cutout, guage-pod, breaking parts and re-purchasing them... mistakes etc., it adds up!

The main difference between this kit and my previous kit were the following:

(1) Garrett GT35R vs. T3/T4 Turbo (+$800)
(2) E-Manage vs. ?? (+$600)
(3) Exhaust cut-out (+$350 including flange/piping)
(4) RC Injector/Harness/Bracket/Fittings/Hose (+$300)

Now, that's $2050 extra right there. Unless you do it yourself, you can NEVER get a manifold made for $600 in Stainless Steel. It's not a straightforward manifold.... it is VERY tight in there, so good luck!! The complete A-pipe, SS turbo mount and downpipe is easily $1500 once you already know what you are doing!

Look at the Z's kit... from Greddy, its around $7K with two cheap turbos and a LOT less power!

I am very interested in the turbo set-up for the 6MT CL-S, in fact I have already purchased a few products and am in need of some others which I am hoping you guys can help me on.
I currrently have:
Garrett GT35/40R (same specs as allmotor)
Greddy E-manage w/ Support Tool
TiAL 38mm Wastegate & BOV w/ Flanges

What I really need is:
Turbo Manifold and Downpipe w/ turbo mount
Intercooler w/ Endtanks
Intake Plumbing
Also may be interested in E-manage PnP Harness

Let me know by posting, PM or email (igitpd@yahoo.com)

I listed everything you'll need at the top of page 3.

Using OBX vs. Comptech headers is like buying a $15,000 suit and wearing a $9.79 tie. You have a sweet turbo there, the GT series is capable of amazing power and obviously is well suited for this application. Don't cut corners on something as important as your exhaust manifold.

Sort of, it is the superfantasticilicous box from PBSKIDS!!! It is owned and controlled by a prehistoric biped which can belt out a tuned at any time.
