Hey guys, I tried searching and didn't find anything.

I have an AEM CAI, when I turn the car off, there's a whoosing sound from my intake, just wondering if that's normal for it?

I've had a few friends ask me about it and they've said they don't think it's supposed to make that noise. I haven't heard it from any other cars in person but I have heard it in a video on youtube with a TL. I'd find the video but my work computer is useless.

My P2R intake makes a crazy noise everytime I shut off the car. I don't mind it and think its pretty cool actually.

Once you've removed the stock resonator and intake box there is nothing to muffle/choke that noise. This is a reason people prefer the ct icebox intake when going aftermarket. It increases intake flow while keeping things quiet and looking stock.

My stock air intake makes a quieter whooshing noise as well, you can only hear it if you turn the engine off with the driver side window open though.

 

my injen does the same thing.... if u put car in neutral and push pedal hard and let go really fast u can hear that same noise.. and when u turn car off it does the hissing thing.. and when the car is cold at idle its still kinda kinda hissing but then chills the fak out once everything is up to temperature
