'01 3.2 CL-S vs. '93 Pontiac Firebird Formula A/T?

According to the site, the Firebird can run 6.5 0-60 and 14.8 quarter mile time.

He has intake and some sort of $3 resistor modification (Which is useless IMO). He's also got a ram air hood and rerouted some fuel or coolant hoses to become "more efficient." Other random stuff too, like alternator pulleys or something of the sort

Let's say we go from a roll. He won't DESTROY me right? Been trying to convince him that he won't straight embarass me. I'm not saying he won't beat me. I'm just saying I'll @least be able to keep up. Especially if we go from a roll... Won't listen to me though. =P.

I'll assume headers'll put me ahead right?

 

Would be close. I think 01-03 CL-S auto is rated 6.7 0-60 and 6.1 0-60 for the cl-s 6mt. I'm assuming the firebird is rwd? If that is the case then he has the advantage.

 

If this guy is running 14.8s, I'm assuming you are running 14.7-14.9s with your mods, so it'll be a drivers race.

Anytime two cars are within a 1/2 sec of each other it'll be a drivers race.

If you race from a roll, try to get it from 25-30 if in 1st gear, or 45-50 if in 2nd gear. And use gate shift as you want to be right there when you punch it . . . SS and Auto will have shifted in to the next gear and will have to downshift . . which causes a loss of response time.

It's actually my roomate's car. I don't even plan on racing him. It's so easy to bruise his ego by saying my overpriced Honda could actually keep up with his oh so bad ass firebird.
