Just curious which of you actually have this and pay for it each month. I thought about it, but not sure if I have a need for it. Also any of you that have it, had to use it in a situation?

I think it's automatically activated if it senses the airbags have deployed.

I had a Buick with Onstar and was hit by a drunk driver. About 30 seconds after the accident the Onstar comes on with someone asking if we needed any help because they detected the airbags were deployed, and an ambulance was there soon after. I think it's a really good feature to have, and I never paid for the service.

I just hooked mine up and at the right time, 2 days later I locked my keys in the trunk in my golf bag. I called onstar gave them my security info and pop unlocked and good to go. $16.95 a month to save $75 on a locksmith that would probably break a seal or something anyway.

Allout

Airbags popped in my 03 TL-S and never heard a peep out of Onstar. I never paid to activate either and was curious if they would respond anyway. In my case, they didn't.

I don't have it activated in my CL-S6 but have contemplated doing so. I haven't need it in two years so I probably won't.

It's handy to have the hands free phone feature. I also use the live traffic feature.
