Is creased leather different from cracking leather? I have leather that is creased from repetitive stress, but it is not cracked to the point of seeing the cushoning.

also, its not really cracked, its more like peeled...

my problem is on the left driver side bolster... its got a cracked appearance...

as if getting in & out of the car an drubbing on the spot is causing it to peel.

I had it. Leather on the steering wheel was cracking, the dealer replaced it.

left side bolster near the stiches. They re-dyed it, seems to be holding up pretty well

Yes they did but honda said to redye around the stiches first then replace if it happens again. Mine didn't crack or peel, it was more like the color was wearing away. On the parchment seats it's very obvious the stiches and seam rub together.

Related to "butt-mileage" and...

Dup city posting (the coated leather likes to crack and most of the standard "leather" conditioners (Zaino, Lexol, etc, etc) are not the right product for "coated leather" -- it's like vinyl and not like leather.

(The re-dye and.or cover replacement is in order if it gets bad enough )

The 303 protectant

OR

There is stuff "made" for "coated leather" and its:

Fiber-Shield Inc's, "Vicker's Leather Revitalizer". Part # FS405B.

phone: 1-800-743-4185
e-mail: info@fiber_shield.com

http://www.fibre-shield.com/leather.htm

"The Vickers Leathercryl System® is the industry leader in the protection and stain removal of fine leather products. Leathercryl™ is a water-based polymer solution that imparts excellent oil and water repellency, stain resistance and exceptional resiliency to all top coated leather and smooth vinyl surfaces. The Vickers® professional ink remover pen for leather is an industry first. With just a slow back and forth motion, it can remove the most stubborn ink, even if it's years old, from valuable leather products that otherwise may have had to be discarded."

Some help for those with cracked seats. (I mention this, since I have the "other" products and DO NOT use them on the CLS seats and don't have cracks.) I have noticed some rather large cracks on seats in the CLS/TLS and the folks used Zaino and Lexol -- go figure...

$0.02 (it's a only a suggestion, not a cure-all)

No good is a bit strong... It is coated leather and it make a difference.

Who in their right mind would think of putting a vinyl protectant on first -- yes/no????

I mentioned this back about 6-months ago as my detailer said NOOOOOOO to the Lexol and he thinks it's fine for "leather/leather/leather" -- (as in non-coated leather).

So, YMMV, it seems to "help" treating the leather like vinyl and some of the other folks on the "what to treat leather thread" had already pointed out the use of the 303 (wouldn't make sense normally, but if the leather is "sealed" behind a coating, you want to get the "stuff" for the coating [as opposed to the leather]) (yes/no???)

I have flaked off leather on the bolster also, and the car only has 10K mile on it. Apparantly it doesn't take long to tear this cheap crap up. I'll add this to my list of other complaints..

I have creases around my side and a crack down the back middle. Very different things.

You bunch of boneheads. Do a search on "leather" "seat" on the username MikeS18 and read the applicable 3-4 threads.

Then call your dealer and get it replaced/fixed. Lexol will fix this about as well as Zaino will fix that dent...

when i used Zaino, my seats looked 10 times better, plus my creases on the side bolsters were reduced significantly to the point where the passenger's bolsters have virtually no creases...go figure that 1
