The haters here don't like the parchment interior....
<=== SMR/parchment owner
EDIT: seems like it's priced right... the buy it now price might be a little high, but if the reserve is around 17K or so, it ain't that bad for average mileage...

The White/ebony int. No-Navi 6MT combo is 4x rarer (43).

Few questions from a new '02 CL-S owner in Canada:
Where do you get your production run numbers from and do these numbers correspond to the exterior/interior combo's? Up here we get maybe half the selection in colour choices than the U.S. For instance, I was told by a dealer in Vancouver that every '03 CL sent north came with the ebony interior, no parchment allowed. As for 6-speeds? Only fifty... I know that black has been the colour of choice for quite a few years but I lucked out and got Naples Gold Metallic with Parchment, my second choice after the Noble Green Pearl...which I won't find up here because it wasn't available! So If somebody's got valid run numbers, here's my main question. How many Noble Green/Parchment 6-speeds came off the line?
Isn't the console and door trim in all CL's fake-a-roo...but a not-half-bad plastic wood...

You'll see the post about another canadian member asking the same question (and my reply on how it might be possible to get more info).

When I bought mine (new)in April of 2004, there were a few CL-S auto transmissions around but mine was the only 6-speed I could find and it was black which is what I wanted.
I do know that Canadian versions of acuras have limited colors. The SMR TSX only come w/ one choice of interior color (ebony) while down here in the US we get two (ebony and parchment). I think the SMR TSX looks better w/ the ebony interior since the dashboard cover is black regardless of the model...

Thanks for the feedback guys.
It's looking like a 6-speed isn't likely to be in my future. 2700 manuals produced and I hear only 50 made it into Canada...and no Noble Green or Naples Gold. It's not so bad though. I'm having almost as much fun playing with the 3mode auto... At first using the Sequential was a new toy but now if I'm not leaving it in D5, I usually shift it through the gears myself. Feels a lot more responsive than the SportShift.
Just one more thing. CLP? I'm thinking that can only mean a non S Type?

Yep, CLP is the premium model... Acura just used the CL and CLS for the 2nd gen models, but we still use the CLP naming convention (from the 1st gen CL) to designate the non-type S...
Oh, there's 3511 6spds in the US...
