White hook in trunk

I have a white hook in my trunk on the right side. I'm pretty sure it is not for the cargo net. What's it for?

I hook a plastic bag up to it and put my trash in the plastic bag. I've never really known what it's for...maybe it's in the manual?

Interesting object though

It doesn't seem like a cargo net holder, since the other ones are all black and differently shaped.

It's a shopping bad hook. You hang your shopping bags on it so they don't roll around the trunk. Useless waste of money Acura could have put into the tranny IMHO.

it is a dry cleaning hook. You hook the hangers in that enad and lay the dry cleaning bag flat along the bottom of the trunk.

I use it every week and it is great. Much better then the hook in the car.

I doubt it's a shopping bag hook JasonT. That's what the cargo net is for...

mblock66, you could be right, as when you hang things from the inside hook, it always "folds" and layers on the back seat.

Yes, I'm sure the $0.25 that went into R & D and Manufacture would have made a difference in your tranny!

It's just a plastic hook.

its a shopping bag hook.

several other cars have the same hooks and market them as grocery bag holders.

think the 300M is one of those cars.

I stand corrected.

But only one? When I shop, I typically have more than one bag.

So they have a hook AND a cargo net?

Interesting...

That is what I use it for and the one in my accord, I hate having stuff hanging up in the car. It is also pretty convient to use, especially when the car is loaded down for a trip and you have a few items that you want to hang up.

You're exactly right. As you guys can probably tell, when you pick up 5 suits from the dry cleaners, it's impossible to hang them from the retractable hook behind the driver's seat, nonetheless have the cute little girl hang them for you like they would in a 4 door. So ya pop the trunk and lay them down, hooking the hangers onto that hook so they won't roll around.

Since I have no suits, & I use the cargo net for bags, mine is useless either way.

The bag hook is on the floor....you lift it up, wrap the bag handles on it, and close it down to prevent bags from rolling around if you're not using the net.
