Where do you order DVD-navi update?

Does anyone know what the website or phone # is to order the new DVD navi update?

For those that have ordered already, have you received them yet? If so, how long did it take for you to get it and is it worth the $?

You can order it direct from Acura here:
http://www.acura.com/engineering/eng...ro.asp?pop=dvd

Last fall it was takin ike 3 weeks to get it... but Im sure their prolly up to speed now. You may want to call and ask.

Depending on where you live, its definately worth the money.

thanks yall.

I finally scolded the sales guy who lied to me about the free navi updates. He still deny's saying it, but I spoke to the sales mgr and he said that he would reimburse me, if I ordered it and showed him a receipt.

Justice. Finally!

If everyone went and demanded a refund for the Navi update we may very well put every damn Acura dealer in the country outta bizness!

Before anyone decides to actually pay for the current update, you may want to consider the rumor that says the next scheduled update (Fall 2001) should contain detailed roads for the entire US.

I already paid for the 2000 update. Same thing happened -- the dealer told both of us (my wife was with me) that I would get every free update for 2 years.

The Customer Service Rep. told us that she couldn't help us. I told Acura CS after calling a ton of dealers with different names. They were all promising DVD upgrades for 2 years (Mission Viejo was the only dealer that gave me the correct answer -- "We don't know")

I talked and exchanged data with one of the members on the sig and he had the data on what detailed cities were on the Alpine DVD. The Acura has far, far fewer cities *and* the DVD has a tons more room.

I think he measured about 2.6gigs of storage used for the 2000 DVD (I think it was about 1.? for the 1999 DVD)

I have a ver. 1.09 that came with my car (Purchased last March.) Last month I bought the ver 2.03,so the 1.09 should be of no value. What will you do with it if I send it to you?

Bill

I thought about this last weekend. My wife and I were driving back home from a day trip. We decided that we needed good steak. If I could use the nav panel for a quick internet connection for a check on gazat.com, I could have used the nav system to plot the quickest route to satisfy our stomach...
