Yeah, just like the title says. The chrome plating is coming off mine and i kinda dislike it cutting peoples' hands all the damn time. Anybody know where to get one?

Local junkyard, car-parts.com or one of the online OEM parts suppliers:

Ha, the same thing is happening to mine and i am not even sure what part it is that you have to buy.

I had to put a piece of tape over it because my girlfriend got a cut and bitched at me for like 2 weeks to do something about it.

So if you find the part you need please drop me a link or something.

Thanks

Drivers side on mine has got the same prob. The junk yards call it a inside door handle FYI. They seem to be going for $25-35 on car-part.com. There seem to be plenty available. Gonna grab one and stop procrastinating already.

lol we're not procrastinating. We've just decided to solve the problem with a cheap, fast, easy fix temporarily...maybe...

That's the thing about car-parts.com. Most places on there want more for a part then I can buy one new for...

If they are asking 35 for used, and you can get it for 31 new (plus shipping), which one are you going to get ??

You know thats a good thing to remember, to always know what the part costs new. Do you think every bone yard researches the new price? Nah thats why sometimes you can find a steal on there. Sometimes they haven't a clue to a parts rareness or price. Other times they just compare the part to something similiar and end up being more expensive than new. I actually discovered car-part several years ago when working as a service writer for a high-end euro repair shop. Benz, Jag, Audi stuff was always very cheap compared to dealer new, especially electronics.
But to answer your question, I would always buy new if the dealer price was close to the junk yard price. Plus Acura is 15 min from my house, and my boy is head tech so I get discounts baby! However if something is out of stock or needs to be ordered, then I can see getting a used part instead.
Don't forget when ordering from car-part.com to always ask the guy at the junk yard to describe the parts condition. Confirm its the right one, color etc. I once got a auto tranny when I ordered a manual for my integra.
