Have you had any service done on it before? If it's working fine, I'd just do the basics. Plugs, filters, fluids.

I never really did a ton of the prescribed maintainance. I would recommend having it checked out first. Some of it, you can do yourself. Checking the color of the tranny fluid is simple enough, but may not tell you the entire story. Checking the condition of the plugs and air filter is something you can do in about 10-15 minutes.

Whenever I buy a car, I take it to my mechanic and have him take a closer look at it. If you have someone you trust, I say take it there. The dealer will be a bit costly.

Do you have a manual? If so, read it.

And if you don't have a manual, read the FAQ forum here, and this post in particular:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178269

I have the links to the acura owners site (which has the maintenance schedule) and a link to a pdf file of the maintenance schedule...

If you have an extended warranty up to 100K, I would do the timing belt service before you get to the 100K in case anything is found when they do the service. I had a leaking water pump and leaking output shaft seal that got replaced under warranty that were found during the service.
