wheel wobble at low speed only?
usually i'd pull apart my brakes and tinker with everything before asking the question, but.
does anyone know why this would be happening. doesn't happen always at low speed braking and it doesn't happen on the highway oddly enough which is why i am stumped.
the fronts are less than a yr old hakw pads and dba rotors
and the rears are pretty cooked i think which are two years old i think at least and they aren't in the best of shape.
i almost am thinking it's the rears tugging on one side then the other which at low speed would kinda induce the wheel wobble since it's only under light braking this happens.
i really don't wanna spend anymore money on this car, but if it's the brakes then i think i gotta do it.\
what are your thoughts people? cause i am all speculation right now.

Is the wobble in the steering wheel or do you feel it more on your seat and the floorboard? Does it only happen during braking or also under harsh acceleration? Need to try to narrow it down a little more and get it to duplicate consistently to determine the root. Lugs could def do it or spacers also...

Have you hit a hard bump/pot hole lately ?
First I would check tires for wear/bubbles
next would be inner and outer tie rods/posibly alignment out?
next thing I would check would be inner axle joints and wheel bearings.
And if it's only a occasional thing I would check for a sticking caliper.
If lugs were loose you would know it with in a few miles.
Till the wheel was making a rythum noise going bang ...bang...bang.
I'm definitly not thinking lugs
Are you feeling the wobbling in the wheels or the steering wheel it self ?
Does the car feel like it gives a wobble when switching lanes ?

wobble is visible on the steering wheel and only happens when i am braking slowly then apply brakes a bit harder.
if u brake hard tho at all the wheel is dead straight, and on the highway when u apply a little brakes it's mint, but then when u keep the brakes on and car slows down a tad the wheel begins to shake.
only under mid braking. and i checked the front pads and they are practically new they are like 80%
last DBA rotors i had warped (i think) and the wobble was on the highway no matter what. but these DBA oe i have not beaten o at all and the wobble almost appeared gradually as if it's the pads or something.
my rears are SCREWED royally now since they've been there for 2 years at least and were beaten on hard originally. but since the new fronts i've bee driving very subtly and cannot conclude they are warped since I would have to have braked like a mad man.. like before to even warp it at all.
could it be the pads are glazed over?... I think I am just going to do the rear rotors and pads, then take off the front rotors and clean everything and sand down the front pads so all the surface is new.
?? think that'd help?
from my experience with other cars if the rotors aree warped the wheel will wobble more and more as u brake harder/increase heat. but this is the exact opposite basically since the harder I brake the more the wobble dissappears.
I still have my other pair of DBA rotors in my garage that I was 99% sure I warped. the weird part is it's been about a year(the same length of time as the last rotors) before I started getting a wobble.
I can only think it's the pads.
this only happens when applying brakes. under accelleration it's mint and on the highway the wheel is smooth also.

What do the rotors look like? Is there any discoloration? They could have hot spots or areas that will cause uneven braking at lower speeds. I'm getting the same symptoms as you and I noticed dark areas on my front rotors. I ordered pads and rotors hoping it'll cure the problem.

pads and rotors always cures the problem... for how long tho is the question.
like I bought these supposed unwarpabe DBA rotors and now it looks like I did in the second pair. i was driving home just now and got a bit of a vibration on the highway now .
make NO sense. I have drivin soo much less aggressive and still a wheel wobble.
only difference is this time the hawk pads(different than last time) have 80% left and the wheel is wobbling vs last time the pads were at 40%.
i'm gonna pull everything apart and put it back together and lube up the sliders and everything first just to make sure it's no a pad overheating or something like that.
cause it's a faily minimal wobble and is not consistent at all.
should i just go with a willwood BBK? but i'm affraid it'll happen again.
oh and yes lugs are tight
this car seems to eat brakes in all fashions
