Wheel and Tire got Stolen!!

I came out of my house this morning to find the back end of my car being supported by a stack of newspapers. Somebody last night stole my wheel and tire off my car. I've got wheel locks, but apparently that wasn't enough. I am so damn pissed!! Just wanted to let you guys know to watch out for your wheels.
Do you think there is anyway to prevent someone from doing this?

Thanks. Yeah the cop told me that he hasn't seen that happen to our cars, but he's seen a lot of CL's with their headlights missing. I'm so pissed that there is no way for me to prevent this from happening again....what if they decide to comeback for the other 3..what the fuck do I do then?
It's not like a live in a bad neighborhood. The neighbors were like, this is the first time something like that has happened around here in 15 years. Now I got a couple of cop cars driving around the neighborhood once in a while, hopefully that will help.

Nah, the wheel locks didn't help for shit. The guy at acura service told me that all the wheel locks have a different design to it, so they probably just broke the wheel lock or had some special tool for it.

Oh, I had the wheel locks that acura provides us with. I got another set, and I'm thinking of setting up a camera with a sensor in my kitchen window which points right towards my car, so the next time this fucker comes around I'll know exactly who it is.
I guess they only took one wheel cause that's probably all they needed or had time for.

Actually there are about 20 different sets of Acura wheellocks (or was it only 10, I forget) but supposedly the case of wheellock keys at the acura dealer has to be signed for by anyone using it each day. Maybe someone got a friend on the inside to let them "borrow" a key though. Who knows.

Is there a damage to your car besides missing wheel?
When my mom's nissan maxima wheel got stolen they droped the car and everything underneath the car body got fuked up, total damage was like 2000$, so we go some money from insurance minus deductable.

Who needs to borrow/steal a key when you can use a Gator-Grip...

I swear, Jersey sucks... HID's, emblems, wheels; I wish they'd just steal the whole friggin' car. (At least it would be over the comp deductible...)

I'm also interested to know where this happened.

Exactly! A good thief can get past a set of wheel locks in just a few seconds. These wheel locks only deter the amateur thief.

I live in Central NJ. I'm about 10 minutes north of New Brunswick. Sorry if I don't state my exact town, but you never know, someone might be lurking this board do find out where you're living. I might be a little paranoid, but I think i have the right.
The cop told me, if someone wants your wheels, they'll get them, even if you had wheel locks. There didn't seem to be any other damage to my car. They were pretty clean about it, they kept the back right end of the car supported by a stack of newspapers. As far I know there wasn't any other damage. The only thing they left behind was the air valve cover.

Sorry to hear about one of your rims getting jacked. But the stock wheel locks or any wheel locks could be taken off without the key. I lost my key for my locks and my uncle was able to remove it by using a big rubber hose type thing to grip the lock(bolt) and turn it without a problem.

Damn

Damn dude that sucks...But dont feel bad they got my integra like a year ago.Just take this as advice ......when you have wheel locks dont leave them in the car so they can find it and use it...Does no good to have them that was my mistake....Also they have master sets around so it might be a good idea to have two sets on each wheel...But thats just my .02..........

Are there such things as aftermarket wheel locks, that acura does not supply?

IIRC, the Acura/Honda locks are manufactured by McGard... (Which are considered pretty decent.)

Perhaps it would also be a good idea to add the shock sensor mod to the stock "alarm."

Why do we have car alarms too?? Did that not go off?

Dang!!

I know it sucks when things like this happen and you have to deal with the aftermath and money going out...

Maybe cover the car........

Yeah NJ sucks!! The stock alarm didn't go off, cause I think it only goes off if someone breaks into the car using the door as the entry point. Do any of you guys know anything about shock sensors?

I see in your sig that you installed your own shock sensors. Was it hard? WOuld I be better off letting a professional do it?

NOVAwhiteTypeS has the whole procedure documented.

http://public.fotki.com/novawhitetyp...ensor_install/

Also, if you have more money than time, PAA will do it for $159.

THanks man! I think I might have Park Ave. do it, since I don't think I have the technical ability to do it myself.
