wheel sizes????

What do you guys think about 18 x 8 or even 18 x 8.5 wheels? Will this work or is this size way to wide for an 01 CL-S? The wheel manufacturer recommends 18 x 7.5.

18x7..5 is fine so is 18x8 if not droped. you can get 235/40/18 fit with not problem.

The car is dropped with comptech springs, so will 18 x 8 rub or stick with 18 x 7.5. Offset of 43 ok?

+43 is a bit low (how low? I don't know ... it depends on load, age of springs, tire size, fender's rolled, etc, etc)

If you could stay near +48 - +52 in the 18x7.5" -- great. Even +45 would work depending on tire size.

The lower offsets will hurt more as you go to wider rims. I'd forget about 18x8.5 (unless you had plenty of time to play).

The offset, rim width, tire make/model, and size all make a difference.

It depends on you tires and springs. What type are your H&Rs? I am running the race version with 19X8, 45+ offset, and a 235/35/19 tire. I assume you drop might be less, so anything with a 45+ would work, but I'd reccomend a 50+ if you can find one you like.
