Right now, it's $492.30 a month, but I am refinancing and paying some extra money so it will end up at about $200 a month for two years. I put down 2/3 when I bought the car.

Think about it.. some of us Got TypeS, some got TypeS with navi(which adds about 2G's after taxes) and some of us got CLP's..... Depedning on what u put down it'll affect your payments... And think about it; whats the big difference, month-to-month (not yearly) between a 495 payment and 510...?

Well I hope my payments on my new CL-S won't be this high.
My current $31K 2000 Chrysler 300M I'm gettign rid of is 4 years $760/month with $6K down! Like 12% intreast!! If I did 5 years it would only be $680/month. I figured I'll just pay the little bit more for 4 years. That's what having no credit will get you.

500 Down. Payment on 30500 is 600 at 6.1%. I don't put big down payments on depreciating assets. I would rather have the cash in the bank and pay off any upside down amount when I get out of the car.

I pay $454 per month and I traded in my 97 CL 3.0 for $12,000... Not bad considering that I had 80,000 miles on my old CL and I also got the Navi in my new 01 CLS.. I'm pretty amazed at the amount of money some of you guys are putting down per month.

Zilch... I paid cash. I don't like lease... its like long term renting without the benefits. If a rental dies on you I think they help you out. Not with a lease...
IMO leasing an American car is the way to go. After three years its crap anyway... might as well get rig of it.

leasing versus buying
Yeah, I kjnow there could be a whole thread on this, but wasn't it Rockefeller that said "buy things that appreciate in value, rent things that depreciate in value"?
Anyway, unless you really like to OWN your cars, leasing is a great deal. And contrary to what you may read elsewhere, many car companies do offer loaners if your car has problems under warranty. I know that Audi does for sure, anyway. I just got 1.9% financing on my lease deal this summer, and that made the difference between almost being able to afford what I wanted and driving it home. Unfortunately Acura/Honda couldn't come anywhere near the numbers I got, so I had to go elsewhere... :-(

$386 per month for 60 months. I financed $19,810 after negotiating the price down to $28,500, getting $8000 for trade, putting $3000 down and of course adding taxes and fees. I'm saving for a house so I'm just making the minimum payments right now (which is also why I went with 60 months to make the payments smaller).

I had 2 cars, a 93 Cobra($13,500 on trade in), and a 95 Grand Am(sold for $4,000 cash), plus I added $2,000 of my own saved cash. $19,500 down, and I took out a loan on $12,000 for 60 months and 8% interest, for a payment of $262.71 per month.
