Exclamation whats wrong with my car?

ok, you guys tell me if im being paranoid...

so today my friend (TL-S driver) and I met up outside my house, he wanted to show me his new intake. So we chilled for a bit on our cars, then he said he wanted to test it out on the highway...so i was like, alright, lets go...so we head out, and he wants to run em...so we line up at a slow roll, maybe from like 40 some...im in 2nd gear as we hit it on 3 honks, shift to 3rd, take it all the way up...through those, he was just about side by side with me until i shifted into 4th gear and pulled about a car length and a half or so...

it just shocks me though...look at the mods i have, in my sig...and hes basically stock, just an intake, and hes keeping up very damn well...

so im thinking of what the hell it could be...i have a VAFCII, but it has not been tuned yet...could it really be that??? or...i drove his car, and it felt like it picked up alot quicker than my car does...idk what are your thoughts?? any help would be appreciated...(btw im taking my car to the shop monday to get my vafc tuned)

driver malfunction possibly. I have I/H/E/crank pulley and I've pulled away from TL-s' just fine. Plus the TL is heavier. Since you said the VAFC isn't tuned then it could be robbing you of power needed. I wouldn't put a piggy back chip on without it being tuned properly.

BTW, I'm putting a UniChip on this week down at a tuning shop close by so that will be interesting to see how much more power it'll give me.
