What's it worth ??

I'm considering selling my car in about 3-4 months. I think I'm moving and don't need the payment anymore. What do you think I should ask? 2003 Acura CL Type S, Auto, Nav, On Star, Silver w/ black leather, heated seats, 6 disc, power everything, moonroof, 99,000 miles. Paint is in great shape, a couple of very minimal dings(not noticeable unless in certain light and angle), interior is in good shape(no tears in any of the leather). The car has no mods to it. I think I am the 2nd owner. Car has clean title. Also come with transferable warranty. Warranty will have about 1 1/2 years left in 6 months. I can't think of anything else...

I'd guess somewhere around 10-12K in a private sale... with that mileage and with the 105K maintenace around the corner, it might be worth less to someone who knows what the 105K maintenance costs (timing belt, water pump, etc).

our cars are fast approaching the falloff point of their retail value......i'd just keep it unless you have a PRESSING need for a new car

I lost THOUSANDS of dollars the first year of ownership, but now I probably only lose a few hundred dollars a year...

I've got 75K on my car, and I should be able to go another 75K with minor maintenance here and there...

The OP want's to get out of payments, and the tranny warranty is just about over too... I don't think he's looking at a new car, probably a beater...

I've thought about getting rid of my car and getting beater and some kind of summer only car (s2k, etc)... but then I'd need a beater for the winter, and something nice is going to cost over 5K (have you looked at civic prices lately ?)... I might as well just keep the CL as a winter beater
