Whats the Correct pronunciation of Saleen?
well, how do you pronounce Saleen?
Say-lean
Suh-leen
i keep pronouncing it Suhleen and these guys keep calling it saylean and they tell me im wrong. (yeah i know its trivial but its been naggin me forever).

One would figure since the "A" in Saleen is proceeded by the consanant "L" which is proceeded by anohter vowel "E", it is pronounced... "SAY-LEAN" ... at least this is what I learned in elementary school....

the guy on mt tv and now the host of C&D always says "Awdi." I just want to hit him everytime he says that. And what's with Jaguar lately pronouncing it "Jag-U-R." It sounds so affected and silly.
BTW i still think Porsche is pronounced Poor-shh (1 syllable)

awdi just sounds funny..it reminds me of odie the dog for some reason (OH-dee).
i have a habit of saying porsche as one syllable, but both sound alright to me.

Did you guys hear the name "Saleen" from Saleen themselves? I've talked to the head engineer from Saleen (a Univ. of MD grad. by the way... Go Terps!) and he pronounces it

And it's POR-SHA.. not PORSH. I always want to smack people on the head when they pronounce Porsche as PORSH and write VTEC as V-TECH or V-TEC. So irritating.
