I believe it locks out the glove box from the valet key...or was it the trunk...or perhaps it was both. Wait a minute, I think the valet key cannot unlock the glove or the rear console, and the button in the glove disables the trunk release.

Disable the trunk release button on the driver's side door.

The CL is commonly used as a cab in Austria. The button in the glove box activates the sign on the roof (not included) which informs the customer if the cabby is on duty

I think it puts the funky in your monkey.

(It can't be that damn important, it's not in the FAQ.)

Wait a minute, there is a button in the glove box? In the CLS, our CLS, the 3.2, the Type Slow, no WAYYYYYY, you gotta be kidding me. This is totally brand new information.

Is it like from that 007 movie, where it fires rockets cause I would definetly need to blow some people out of my way blocking the left lane. move bitch

Ok I looked, & yes there's a button( well a toggle switch in my 2002) It's not in the glove box, but to the left of it by the hinge. That explains why I never saw it. Has a little pic of the trunk on it, so I guess it locks out the trunk when you press the trunk release.
