Whats the best way of gettin rid of my CLS
I would like to know whats the best way to get rid of my CLS.
Do I trade it in for another car? What do u think I could get for it?
Or do I place an ad in the Classifieds, waste money on that, and hopefully get a higher offering? What do u think I could get out of that?
Sure there is some damage; there are some blood stains on it from the time I beat the livin shnot out of Shynes mom for tellin me she loved me. Shit stains on the floor from Shyne's mom's abused, leakin sphinter. But can't really complain she gets me from point 'A' to point 'B'...
The car damm it, the car.

No fool. I love my CLS. But if a company like Acura completly denies that their is a enginering defect in thier transmissions then there is ovbiously a big concerning problem. And if Acura is waiting for our warranties to expire so that they can cash in on us having to purchase new trannies then the problem becomes even bigger. Just cause the problem doesn't affect u at the moment doesn't mean that u should just let it slide. Acura should stand up and admit that they FUBARed and do something about it; like say a recall.
Mabey a revised NSX tranny for a FWD.

i traded in my CL-S 3 days ago. it had 13500 miles and a couple of door dings, the transmission died and i decided that that was all i could handle. I traded it into audi and got 22500, i paid 28000+TTL. There is something called "Trade In/Trade Out" were you get a big tax break, like $1800 bucks saved in taxes when you trade your car for one of theirs. they paid the car off. plus i had the extended warranty so now i can go back to acura and get that money back with proof that the car has been paid off, that's another $1700. You get hit but in the long run you will have a car that won't die every 10K miles. look at bmw, audi and even the new little c-coupe. german is amazing. good luck!

I thought about trading in my CLS for a BMW 330 - the trade-in offer was $23,500. Kelly Blue Book says retail book is $28K, but good luck getting it in this economy. I plan to sell it via the classifieds with a realistic selling price being around $26K (+/- $500).

Right now a 2001 CL Type S in Galves is listed at $22,700 (with 10k miles). Add $700 for Navigation.
When trading into a dealer you are getting wholesale, or above depending on mileage and condition. Add that with the tax savings (assuming the car is not a lease), it may or not pay to trade it in. Of course some people just don't care and just trade their car in because they don't want to bother selling it privately.
