What would be your next car?

We're not talking dream cars here, but in reality.

What would be your next car?

Brand, Model?

I intend on keeping my CL and paying it off. Then, in a few years buy another car....don't know what yet.

Well, I can tell you what my next car IS:

6MT G35 coupe.

I have to admit, when this car came out a year after the CL I was pi**ed..

But, like anything, there are many things the CL does better than the G and vice versa.

My next car from here would either be the next G if they gave it the V8 or move into 911 territory. Another Acura coupe with AWD would also tickle my fancy if Acura really stepped up to the plate.

i have a carefully thought out plan and have researched it time and time again(i have a lot of time on my hands) speaking from a performance standpoint, i came from a built 93 integra gs. the only logical next step for me was a cl type s. after the cl type s i will be buying a 00 or newer bmw M3. the M3 is the next step up in performance from the cl(reason being honda doesnt offer a step up from the cl IMO in terms of a performance oriented vehicle). after the M3 i will be coming back to the honda family for a nsx. i could stay within the honda family the whole way and switch the M3 for a S2000 but i dont know if i want a 2 seater. but that is my plan and so far i am on course.

^I hear ya. I would love to step up to the M3 after I pay off the CL. I plan on keeping the CL if I get the M3.

I also thinking about buying a full-size SUV like and Armada or Denali. That way, I have a coupe and cargo carrier.

After the warranty on my TL is up I'm going to start looking to replace it (since that 5AT can't last too long).

Most cars out there today won't be around or will be almost at the point of a refresh/redesign by that time, so I've been keeping my eye more on concepts and cars that aren't out yet.

I've been looking a lot at the TSX (Refresh for MY07, rumors abound of a Turbo AWD TSX), the new Lexus IS (3.5L v6, 300hp), the new G35 Coupe, possibly the new Acura coupe, if it exists

For coupes the new Lexus IS coupe may be a contender but could be 1-2 years from now. The new E90 BMW 3 coupe out in a year may be very sweet looking from the pix I'm seeing. I hope Acura brings a coupe out when the the new 3 coupe is out. The BMW will be the car getting the most attention.

I'll probably have the CLs for another 10 years or so (too cheap to swap cars all that often) but if I was to buy another, it would be the 6MT G35 coupe. My only caveat is that it would have to be an AWD (assuming they actually come out with one).

I've been giving this alot of thought, either:

New Pontiac GTO (I miss having a muscle car)
or
New Mazdaspeed Mazda 6s
or
Used E46 M3 (If I can afford it!!)
or
New G35 (haven't decided between sedan or coupe)

G35 Coupe. Or BMW M5. But I will more than likely keep the CL.

he might be referencing the next skyline gtr that is due to come out in the states. as far as pricing goes, I believe they are estimating it to be in the $70Ks.

Uhhh, that was the name of the concept car. Just because they call the concept car that doesn't mean thats going to be the next name.

At this point, its still up in the air if there even will be another NSX or Honda/Acura super car.

I dont plan on selling the CL-S any time soon. I can see myself keeing it till it reaches 200k, or until it starts nickel & diming me.

However, I would sell it right now if Infinit made the G35C AWD 6 speed.

I use the CL-S for my daily driver, so its gotta be good in the snow since I live in Michigan.

I think my next daily driver will be something equivalent to a Mazda 3 or WRX. Good handling & reliability + lower price tag. I will say I will NEVER buy another brand new car. You just lose too much money on depreciation.

and yes my eyes do work i can see that it is all caps.....i have to type in all caps at work so sometimes i forget to turn it off when i jump on a forum...so enough with the caps talk...

I'll probably keep the CL another 12k miles or so. I just hit 80k miles and it would be nice to sell it w/ a little warranty left. Over the last 6 months I've toyed w/ getting a used M5, used C32, or a barely used M3. I don't think people drive the M5 and C32's as hard as the M3's which is why I'd be more willing to get one a little older. The STI is still a contender.

Don't know. But whatever it is, it won't be a new car, or expensive car. Cars cost too much $$. I'd rather put my $$ elsewhere.

Have you seen the cars allmotor drives? Better reserach before rambling on.

You can pickup a skyline here in California, there is a local importer that brings them to DOT spec and sells them accordingly.

My next car.... S4.

I have decided to part ways with the CL this month, but still haven't 100% decided what's next. It will have 4 doors though. It's probably going to be between the TSX, TL, or G35 sedan. Whoever's got the right numbers has my business.

Keeping my car probably for another 5-6 years. Definitely, a year or two after it's paid off. I would like to stick with Acura. If the rumors are correct, the new Acura lux-sport coupe.

I hear ya that you live in MI, but, I have to chime in and say that the G35 6MT with Pilot Sports handles SURPRISINGLY well in the snow. We've had more snow in the Mid-Atlantic than normal and I was nervous about driving RWD since my last ride was a 240sx that wouldn't move at the threat of snow!

The G with the traction control etc. seems to handle as well as my CL did. I was never impressed with how the CL handled the snow--the heavy front end just made it want to plough! The miracles of technology!

I think I'm going to get rid of my CL-S next year when it's paid off, for either a T-SXY or an STi.
