What would it cost?

I have a 01 CLS with 1 1/2 years left on the lease. What would it cost to give the car back early on the lease? Id like to get a 02 or 03 CLS with navigation. when i first bought the car i thought there was no need for navi but now i just wish i would have gotten it. Any ideas?

If you have descent mileage....probably in the $4k-5k area.

It's only a year and a half, just wait it out, you will be thanking yourself after that

Technically, you could get out by paying the rest of the lease payments as well as wear and tear, and any over mileage to this point. 18 months equals 18,000 miles (Avg. 12,000/year) your 10,000 over that. At $.15/mile = $1,500 just for mileage.

Your dealer can play with the numbers anyway they want, but chances are you'll be dissapointed to say the least.

no, no, no Make sure you talk to the dealer, you CAN dump the car early without it being a pain. In most cases they can roll you over in a new ride with little or zero out of pocket.

You can get the lease buyout on it, sell it, then pay it off. The buyer will just have to wait for the title.

Talk to the dealer, since you are just wanting to upgrade, it shouldn't cost you anything and if it does it should be very little. It never hurts to spend a little time in research.
