What will the center console look like?

Does anyone have an idea of how the center console on the CLS will have to change for the 6 speed? I would imagine the double-door cupholder will have to go for the Emergency Brake. I sure wish that I could see a picture...I kind of miss shifting again!

I've heard rumors outside this forum that the parking brake will be electronically operated... push button style.

if thats the case i cant imagine many changed to the center console.

the 6-spd prototype soem people drove had a traditional ebrake though... so i dunno.

maybe it'll be the twist-handle underdash pull type found on many older japanese trucks...

Aw man, I hope not. I just want a plain old pull up and release type handbrake. Just like my 98 Max had.

It'll probably be the same as it is now. The pedals will be smaller...to accomodate the extra pedal. I noticed that this was possible on my friend's S-10.

DIdn't someone test drove te 6 speed and said the handbrake is just to the right of our cup holders?????
I noticed that on the preludes, the handbrake doesn't use much space so im guessing its just a normal release handbrake

Theres no way that the e-brake will be where it is now. Even if there is a smaller pedal for it....people go to hit the clutch and hit the e-brake my accident. BOOM their screwed. I dont think that will be the way it is.

just my .02 cents

I believe the Nissan Frontier still has that feature. As for the CL, a pushbutton handbrake is a possibility. BMW has it on the new 7-series. Sucks for you people who like handbrake turns, though.

There's plenty of room where the shifter is now. Just move the shifter to the left and stick the brake to the right. The brake handle doesn't need to be very big.

Supposedly the shifter will double nicely as a plush dildo. That's what I heard.
