What should I use to tune with ?

What can be used to tune with the auto trans that's not actually wasting money?
I want something that can add and subtract fuel without the ecu taking over.
As of now thats all I want.
I don't want the ecu to be able to keep me in the 14.6 afr range.

Is there any sensors that can be manipulated (getto wise) to change afr.
o2's,Map,TPS,intake temp any of them ?

Emanage blue is what Ive heard to be the best for a 1st gen j-series. Havent really researched FIC's too much because of the j35a8 using Hondata.

Btw, has anyone looked into AEMs new standalone "Infinite"?

This thing will work 1st and 2nd gen j-series engines...with a 6MT of course but it has a MASSIVE list of goodies it can perform!

Can't go wrong w/ EMB... Dated, but proven time & time again.

So with the blue I can take my ecu out of the 14.6 range and it will stay where I want it ?
I thought people said after a few drive cycles it goes right back to the oem ecu 14.6 range.
Is this not true or was I misinterpreted by things I read ?

I also thought blue was only good for retarding and that was it because of what I mentioned above

I don't think the AEM Infinite works for J series...?

At least not according to the spec sheet I found. Could be wrong though.

@ $3K for the unit alone, I don't see many of us buying it lol.

AEM FIC apparently works pretty well if you get the harness from Paul (NVA-V6). He's street tuned many J series before. I haven't heard anything on the Greddy eManage in awhile, so I can't comment on that.

Not sure about the autos but I know for the manual guys, the aem fic seems to be the best option that most are presently using

For your model engine, I would use the AEM FIC 6. Paul has said those work really good with the engine sensors on the newer J-series.

You would probably need a custom harness, that Paul can make for you.... that is so you can tune it in the 02 "skewed" mode --- yeah, can't give you details as i am not savvy on this. Basically, that will prevent the ECU from "un-tuning" the A/F ratio set up.

FIC can only retard timing. I don't know if the EM blue can advance...

The Greddy E-manage blue has been discontinued as of 2012. You might be able to find a new one on E-bay. I have to use an E-manage blue for my J35A3 because the FIC did not work to well with my MAG(automatic engine) type sensors. This is when I found out it the EMB had been discontinued. However, the EMB Ultimate is still out there...

The harness application chart didn't provide a choice for any j-series engines but it could still be wired up customly to appropriate circuits using the modules bulkhead pigtail and the existing engine harness from the desired engine it will be used with.
