Just wondering, what is a Sema CL-S? Is it a Acura production car or a aftermarket modifier? I really loves the look of it (the aggressive front end, the fender flares and the spoiler too) and wouldn't mind buying one either.

 

It was a car that Acura took to the SEMA show in Vegas. The rep that I talked with said it was brought there to test crowd reaction. So some of that car may make it to production, but if you want to do it yourself he estimated $15,000+ in custom work.

Acura made them just for the show car...

Acura makes some sweet rims for their show cars... look at the prototype MDX. Too bad they dont make nice rims in production.

So where can you get this type of custom work done at? or if it even available yet?

 

find yourself a good body shop that can mold on a bodykit from an accord and get the spoiler off the solara and mold it on to the trunk thats what im gonna do ..........everything else is pretty much easy just buy 19 inch rims.....brembo brake kit and find a place where they do upholstery for the interior.......

good luck I have 19" rims but not like those I still like mine tho. try looking at Lowenhardt they make a kickazz rim but it costs a little bit of "cheddar" but you turn the heads all the time I know I do.

Those MOMOs match very well with the TL.
How come they got a more decent looking spoiler than the CL? even the lip TL spoiler is nice...jeez

Kinda strange that the TL... a lame ol 225hp sedan... has come with some sweet factory accessorys from day 1.

And the CL gets shit.

Acura even made TL brochures on video when it came out... I want a video for my CL-S!!!

That TL is sweet!!! I really like the SEMA car too, but I'm not one to put 19" wheels on. To me it looks very funny with hardly any tire showing.

speaking of custom work? Has anyone looked into repainting there CL-S? I (like many others) have a lot of hood chips, and (unlike most others) would really like to drive a blue car (like the BMW M3 blue). Any guesses on what something like that would cost?

Who built this SEMA car? Where did they get the resources to custom make a body kit.

The reason I am asking is if someone made it, why would they NOT make more and start selling them? What's the point of making a show car if none of the parts they used are avalable? If it's a car mod business that made the damm thing, then why the FUCK don;t they get smart and stop fucking around and MASS PRODUCE THESE GOD DAMM UNDERBODY KITS! UGHHHH!!

It's like knowing your gonna tap that ass on a date, but don't have a rubber.

Someone PLEASE knock some sense into these fuckers that made this car, please!

 

how long did it take you to clear out the lights..........do u get any condensation in there?

It took a day to clear the lights. You have to let the silicone sit overnight to have it properly sealed and tight. There was a little but it went away.

Don't know if any of you subscribe to Velocity Magazine (Honda/Acura club's Honda/Acura brown nosing rag), but if you do or don't, check out the latest issue with the new RSX on the front, and turn to page 22 and you'll see an article on HOE (Honda Optional Equipment), as they have all four of the decked out hondas in there. From the sounds of it, HOE does have something planned like this for the future, but how much toned down it'll be (We all know how Honda/Acura is) and how much longer in the future it is remains to be seen. For instance, they even called their decked out S2000 "Too wild" For america. Is Honda really that blind??? It just boggles my mind. The Velocity Issue is "Spring 2001". You should be able to pick it up at your local Barnes n Noble if they still have some left.
