What a mess...
What would be the best method to clean this crap up?! The long drives to work and back with in the last few months are starting to take its toll. before i spend the whole day washing, waxing and then polishing, would that hide alot of this mess? Or is this too extensive?
Im assuiming plastix or whatever its called would clear this up?

HEy thanks for the input guys. I have that plastixs stuff which ill try it out tomorrow. As for the nics, yeah some are from stone chips that are down to the primer, but most look white because of the wax job from before. I have Maguires 3 stage was which i believe did hide alot of this from before, but that was back in the beginning of summer. Since then lots of washes which im sure i see more because the wax job has worn down. I guess i was hoping for a more of a pernament solution, but i guess repainting the hood would be the best bet. Too $$$ for me now so ill just cover most of it with the wax, i hope. Ill try it out tomorrow and ill post pics of the results. unfortunately i dont have a buffer, so ill have to rely on good ol fashion elbow grease.

Yeah no kidding about the elbow grease... im crying here, my arms are ready to fall off. Worth it though... check it out.
I used the Maguires 3 step thingy... but i was somewhat dissapointed when i finished using the carab wax. I found that it left little residue in the little divets which dried white and you were able to see them more. So i just went back and used the polish as the last coat. Probably using a buffer would have fixed that. That or use a non wax clear coat. I seen something like that at Canadian Tire from Zymol. Some sort of clear finish thats not a wax. Anyways, heres the after shots. Not perfect but heck of a lot better!
Even the Plastix thing from maguires worked pretty well. Again not perfect but MUCH better.
Ignor the little white specs there, thats just the dried powdery left from when it dried off. That was my first time using such products, so im sure i can get better at it later on when i do it again. Ill invest in a buffer next spring cause my god my arm is dead! lol

Clear Car Bra
If you need another website... here is the 3M clear bra material that they use on race cars and exotic sports cars. My friend in the Bronx is a certified installer and this is the website he gave me. They have pics and videos and everything. I have the headlight protectors and they are worth every cent I paid for them. I am going to get my car repainted soon and I am going to use the clear bra on the bumper, hood and side panels.

Hope it helps! Car looks much, much better.
