i just got my crossdriled slotted rotors installed now i need pads. i would have made a poll but i dont know how. im leanen towards the ebc green stuff pads. i have heard some people on here sort of complain about axxis pads. iwas gonna get the endless pads but they say they have to moded to fit, and with all of the problems im haven with getting my blitz gauges installed i dont know if i want one more prob. any help would be great as im trying to order them today.

i have the EBC green stuff pads on both the front and back of my car with x-drilled and slotted rotors and i love them. I have about 6k on them now. They really make a difference and since they're made out of kevlar, no brake dust.

I vote for Axxis Ultimates or Porterfield R4S. I think the Ultimates are Kevlar Ceramic blend and R4S's are Carbon Kevlar. Both are great street performance pads and are good to rotors.

IMO porterfields are too aggresive for a daily driver street car, no need to spend the bucks on them

I have Axxis Ultimates. They bite pretty well, but they do kick out a lot of dust. My car is not my daily driver so I only put about 500 miles a month on it, but even still my front wheels are hella dusty. However, the stories about the dust being easy to remove are true, so I don't think its a huge deal.

Are you talking about R4's or the R4S's. I've used R4S and consider them fine for aggressive street use.

as far as the actual braking go, I love the ultimates. They bite very well and definetly stop the car .. I feel more confident driving fast knowing I can stop.

BUT .. I wish I could get the front drivers side pad to STOP SQUEAKING. I think I will take it apart if I get a free day and see if I can re-do them with more disc brake quiet stuff .. However I think it is partly my fault because I did not wash the rotors before installing.

They are very very dusty also, but like everyone's said it does wipe off easily. Kinda annoying but I just keep a towel handy to wipe them clean.

This is a really useful thread -- so thanks for chiming in. I saw that this link:

http://www.autopartsauthority.com/a...a~cl~parts.html

had 2 different sets of EBC Green Stuff front pads for our CL's. One set for $58.11 and one set for $74.95. I wonder what the difference is...

I guess I'm gonna purchase the front Rotora slotted rotors and the $58.11 fronts from this site. Anyone have anything to add before I click away?

Thanks in advance,
Nutz

Mike, I'm not sure yet. I saw another thread (or two) that had references to "best prices" so I was gonna compare once I was sure about the pads.

I hope the EBC pads don't dust or squeek like the Ultimates.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I saw a good site for the Rotoras but now have to find it again...it was at work and I closed it out by mistake.

might have been brakesrus.com

I'm a little concerned about availability too. It appears some are taking 3 weeks to actually ship which makes me uneasy when I've already given them my credit card.

But I'll PM you when I find best price and we'll see what you can do.
