what the hell is this? Somebody make their own armrest/storage box?

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

A port for a sub , I don't remember that storage box being even 8 " wide.

measured across the lid, it is exactly 8" wide if i remember correctly.

i live right by that place on 287 in mansfield, texas. they have 5 tl-s' and 2 black cl-s'. the guy up there said it was for a cd changer. they took it out along w/the rest of the audio set up.

could be a mount for a dvd player... ps2 xbox etc.. looks fairly clean as those things go.

I did the same thing for my dvd player. I made mine to follow the same lines as the factory console and I vinyl wrapped it.

The sub really doesn't have to be in there. It could just be a port for a sub in the trunk.

The pass through might be used foe something else.

maybe it was a non-nav cl. and the guy wanted an awesome A/V setup with custom work. he took out the stock headunit and put in a flip screen and receiver. now with no room for a cd changer, he added it to a that custom armrest. therefore the guy doesnt have to go into the trunk everytime he wanted to swap cds.
