What happens to an extended warranty if...

- you were to sell your car to someone??? Does the warranty transfer, would you I be able to get my money back, if it's NOT transferable???

And yes, I'm still kicking around getting a 330Ci. What would be a fair price for my car with 6200 miles on it??? I was offered $24,000 at the Bimmer dealer.

24k isnt that bad.. now thats without the tax savings for the trade in? Add in the tax savings to 24k.. and that shouldbe around 25,500.. rite? Thats a pretty good price for a CLS.. IMO

Yeah, it'd save me about 1500 on taxes...

I may have a possible buyer however.

from what i was told

the extended warranty is transferable

and you could also get a refund but it would be pro-rated

dont know exactly how much you would get back but the sooner you claim your refund the more you will get back

I know you can get your money back... But I was wondering if it was transferable... Maybe something else to leverage the deal with...

I'm 99.9% sure it's transferable.

My brother bought a car from a private party and they were able to transfer it. I don't see why it wouldn't be the same as the factory warranty!

My law professor once said: READ THE CONTRACT---it should plainly state whether it's tranferrable or not.
