What do you think of the Honda Element?

I have been throwing around the idea of picking one of these up (Don't worry, I'm keeping the CLS). With some aftermarket wheels, I think they look pretty good.

What do you think? Are these just too weird looking?

I think that it is ugly as hell...but there is just...SOMETHING about it that I like. I've seen a couple on the road and they do look funky. Looks like a fun vehicle.

We went and looked at them, and it has to be the best designed vehicle I've ever seen, as far as functionality.

All kinds of creative new ideas... such as the floor cover over the spare tire turns into a 4-legged table you can use at the lake or whatever.

Quite unique.

I like the new Element. With a similiar engine as the Accord/TSX/CRV/RSX, maybe there will be a JRSC for it too...

One huge problem with this vehicle: see those plastic, unpainted panels? You get ugly, nasty scratches on them. I saw one in the LA autoshow that's been scratched to hell. You can make a nasty scratch on it using your finger nails!

I kinda like it, but then again I also own a VW bus camper so WTF do I know

If you're looking for a utility vehicle, and don't want a standard issue SUV, it's got possibilites.

personally, i think they are so ugly honda should go out of business for producing them. but thats my opinion. people's own preference is what will sell this car. apparently it has all these cool things it can do. not my car, EVER!

The Crvs have always had picnic tables.

I think they are an amazingly designed vehicle.
Ugly yet funky enough to really like. And built for versatile utility functions. I looked at one with my friend ( we do film work.) and he needed a good utility vehicle. The one bad thing about the element was it was too small for our needs. He went with an Ody instead. But i think the element is the best for what it was designed for, a little shit kicker SUV that is fun to drive and can truly be used to haul stuff around and not worry about ruining it.

FUCKING UGLY, FUGLY, POS

Dear god please strike all the Honda Elements with bolts of lightning rendering them all into a melted puddle of plastic!

I can see why some people will want them so they can be "hip" or "trendy"...

BTW- The commercials for the element are as gay as it gets.

Just remember its main purpose is for utility and not for style. but the look does grow on you.

Oh i saw the scion at the LA auto show and they are flat out POS and they have no real function whatsoever. At least the element has a purpose. The scion is this low riding BOX that wishes it was a racing hatchback, fucking terrible.

Element, Scion are Japanese versions of the PT Cruiser. For people that want attention but can't ante up for real attention.

Cargo my arse, I never see Expeditions and Suburbans with anything but 1 lady and a tree thing hanging on the mirror, let alone these things.

But damn, in a sick, demented way, they look kinda cool. Scion is the stupidist thing I might have ever heard.

Wouldn't be caught dead in it. Crosley/Edsel/Aztek/Element: milestones of crap design. Yes, that means that it's just not plain ugly but historically so.

I like it, I think it would make a great city vehicle. Short, AWD, turning radius, visibility. Those plastic bumpers and panels that sctatch are GREAT. My car gets so fuked up downtown and in parking lots. I'd rather have some ugly protective plastic then messed up bumpers. I need a beater.

I think it would dope on some rims, but needs a 6 cylinder, 4 banger is wack. That unpainted body cladding has got to go! CRV and Avalance from Chevy have that same crap, you pay thousands for a new ride, and they leave shit unpainted. I like different shit, I am still waiting to see a Toyota Prius on rims, I think thier dope to.
