I dont really associate flowmasters with imports.........I used to have a Cobra and I loved the way Flowmasters sounded.

Flowmaster and Borla are two exhaust companies I associate with f-bodies and Mustangs. (And lately large pickup trucks as well.)

The fellow member with the Flowmaster is URIRx98. I've written him and his reply is that he likes them. He had the stock tips welded on them. He says there is a nice growl and that his are a two chamber rather than three.
Here's his rsponse:

Well the exaust i got is the Flowmaster. All they did was change the mufflers and then they cut off the tips from the old mufflers and welded it to the new flowmaster mufflers. The major difference is noise, it gives such a nice growl when i turn the car on and there are choices of how loud you want the car to be. If you want a soft growl u can get a 3 chamber or if you want the car to sound mean, like mine, you get a 2 chamber. I have had mine for over 1 year and i love it. Just make sure if u get 2 chamber, that whomever sits in the back, doesnt care about loudness from it, cause they wll hear it. performance isnt something that comes with the mufflers, but maybe a little, dont really know. GRand total for 2 mufflers and labor was 180, would have been like 200 for a 3 chamber though. Mine was done in florida, but the mufflers are cheap so it should be that price anywhere.

I've also talked to a few folks with the Comptechs, they even says they've even notice the rumble from them also. I've called the flowmaster folks and discussed with them on the type. They told me they do make them for the imports. They said they have a suggested retail of around $90 apiece. So with that and having the tips welded on it'll probably run around $200. That's something I'm considering.

ITS me ITS me ITS WARRENG

yeh its me with the flowmaster. Like my reply, i love the growl that comes with them. Just to clarify, when u get the mufflers, i dont think they come with tips, so u have to buy other tips. I considered it, but they were like 30 a piece, and i need 2, so i asked, can u take the tips off my old and put on flows, and he aggreed, i think i gave him like 10 after for his effort. If u want it, get it, they are great for the price, but i really dont think competch is worth it. mine sound better, as tested against a tl with comptechs.

u can see my pics in the link, but i dont have a pic of the flowmasters alone, cause it looks just like stock.
