What do you dislike about your CL?

I love mostly everything about my whip except for the fact that the damn back windows do not go down; Acura messed up on that IMO! My Ex-Legend coupe back windows used to go down and it looked hot the way they tilted in an angle.
What do you dislike about your CL?

The fact that it is an auto-but hopefully soon, that will all be solved.

- The quality of the shift (too slow and soft)
- No telescoping wheel
- The seat is mounted too high in the car
- No trip computer

otherwise, after 4 yrs and 68k miles, I still really like mine. it still feels and looks new.

I have almost 15K miles on mine and my rotors are still almost like new. They either changed the rotors for 03 or you guys just use the brakes too much.

I love my car but wish it sat lower from the factory . Similar to the height of the stock BMW's

A little more rumble in the exhaust like the Z.

Auto down windows from keyfob

Wish I would have got mine with NAVI

Stock suspension - (even on the TypeS). Weak!! Had to add aftermarket suspension to get a tighter ride.
Weight – Too bad they couldn’t shave a few pounds off somewhere.
Rattles – piss me off but I’m getting used to them now.

That’s all. I love the car for it's value (you get a lot for the money). I also look forward to driving every time I approach it. Would I buy another Acura… remains to be scene. If they don’t offer another sports coupe to compete directly with you know who, I may cross the line (I’ve always bought Japanese or Japanese influenced cars).

the sunroof only opens halfway....and the sunroof controls are on the left so you have to close the sunroof and the windows seperately or reach your right hand to the left of the steering wheel...

and in the front where the wheel wells meet the hood...is too square...looks funny

But, I love most everything else about the car... especially the 6MT... with it was RWD but I can live with the torque steering...

The CL is not mine, but I still can talk about the only thing I don't like about it:

1. I think its trunk is too long. A coupe is supposed to have a longer hood and shorter trunk. I rather Acura sacrifice the trunk space in order to make the whole car shorter.

Yeah, the CL is a boat, but I guess you get used to it after a while.

1. 17" stock wheels just look too small.
2. Front wheel drive.
3. Stock suspension. Kind of sloshy, sits up real high.
4. Weighs too much.
5. Engine and exhaust are too quiet. Can't hear them unless you have the windows down
and the radio off.
6. Indiglo gauges like VW would be nice.
7. Car is too narrow to be that long, needs to be shorter more like the dimensions of the
BMW 330 Coupe.
8. Bland styling reminds me of the 90's Ford Thunderbirds sometimes.
9. I don't have Navi.
10. 260 HP & 235 LBS TQ are rated at the CRANK, not the wheels
11. 60/40 weight distribuiton.

That's all I can think of, but really overall for what it is and what you get for the price I am very happy with it. Glad I got the 6-speed.

I hate the scratch-prone wheels.

I hated the original cupholder in my '01 cls, but I replaced it with the TL cupholder, so that's cool now.

The so-called '01 fog lights, but I upgraded those with Polarg M-6s, so that's a little better now.

I wish the '01 had auto-up driver's window.

The stock tires sucked in the snow.

Still, I love this car. It's my "forever" car, at least for now.

There are a lot of things that I dont like about the car. Little things that I wish some one would have thought about.

But there is nothing I HATE about the car.

I wish it had more things, just about everything that has been said befor. But if it were perfect, how would we customise it to make it different?? And even if it were perfect, I think we all would still complain!!

rattles and rattles.. I am so regret that I actually spent $32k on a rattlebox.. I don't think I will ever buy another Acura if they don't fix it.. Honda Accord has much less rattle than my CLS..

-Definitely jealous of the of the new TL and TSX gauges.
-A bigger Nav screen would be nice (like in the TL, TSX, MDX etc. )
-No RWD is a bummer considering the performance aspect of the car. At least now after all the mods I’ve done.
-Big fan of the auto however something similar to BMW's SMG would be a plus
-Paint on the front isn't all that bad but there are some chips. So better paint.

Not really much else. CLS is a great car for the money.

Good thread BTW, sometimes you need to keep your cars shortcomings in check.

Nothing that I really hate. I agree the stock suspension was too high, and too soft and the tires were at best a compromise. I love the 6spd though. Bose leaves a lot to be desired in terms of power and base. Gauges could be a little more intriguing. But its a great overall package for the money and I really liked not having to screw around with 27 option packages---two styles and only one real option, the NAV system.
