Its not the first time someone buys a car for parts. And why did you mention that its a CL-P?

 

^ um becuz you have an '03 CL-S...duh theres nothing you can really use from the car

They're not that different Obviously there are some things but there are plenty of things that are usable .......

 

what were you thinking of using from that car?

check local craigslists. I find crashed CLs on there sometimes.

Right, there are alot of parts that are the same, but a lot that are different... seats aren't perforated, engine is 225hp instead of 260hp, suspension/brakes are different, etc etc... There's tons of threads on the differences...

Is your car in that bad shape that you need parts for it ?? Or do you just like having your backyard look like a junkyard ?? These cars are pretty robust, so unless you're beating on it, you shouldn't need anything till 105K when you need a NEW timing belt and waterpump...

You'd be better off looking for a totaled 6spd, so you'll have parts on hand to swap your auto out if it fails

 

Yea i know the differences..

No my car isnt but if the price was right then why not? Ive got the space. Good point on the 6MT but i think that before i would consider a swap id probably be looking for another car
