Thumbs up What A Day Full of Races!

Today I was literally blazed all day, and out racing for about 6 hours today with various cars. Two of my friends both have pretty fast damn cars. One of them has a 2007 Jeep SRT-8, absolutely SICK power in that car! I couldn't get over how much power those cars have, 420 horsepower, 420 lbs. of torque. Absolutely feels like a rollercoaster at high speeds! Amazing power for an SUV especially.

And my other buddy has a '94 fully modded M3 with M5 suspension and an anti-roll kit, etc. Intake and exhaust puts the car around 300 horsepower and 300 lbs. of torque.

2007 Jeep Cherokee SRT-8 vs. 2005 BMW E46 M3
The SRT-8 literally blew the M3 completely out of the water in every single race. Off the line, off a roll, on the highway. The M3 wasn't even coming close to the SRT-8.

2003 Acura CL-6 vs. 2007 Mercedes SLK55 AMG Convertible
Raced this guy in a gorgeous pearl white SLK55, I even managed to get a picture of it. I raced him from 40 MPH to about 80 MPH and I was a 1/2 a car length ahead. And then I raced him from 60 MPH to around 90 MPH and was still a half a car length ahead. Afterwards the older guy gave me a thumbs up.

But after looking up the specs on this car he must have been letting me win or something, because he should have taken me with over 350 HP and torque!

1994 Fully Modded M3 vs. 2005 Porsche Carrera GT
This was just absolute 100% total luck! We were ripping through back roads stoned out of our minds and all of the sudden we see one of these making a turn onto the same back road were turning onto:

My buddy immediately opens up the M3 and starts riding the Carrera's a-s and really is keeping up with him. I took an entire video of this just to show how crazy it was really was. The Carrera GT is $360K and is 605 horsepower and 435 lbs. of torque! The car pretty much sits ON the ground! Here is a video of the M3 taking off from a stop, and then the video of us following the Carrera:

That was a sick discovery huh don't see those everyday. Those cars are fast good thing there was a long stretch of road or it would have been bye;bye and the tail lights would have gotten smaller and smaller (lol)

Stock E46 M3s have done the 1/4 mile in High 12 low 13s. The Jeeps must be real monsters to take one so effortlessly.

The SLK55 should have walked you fairly easily unless you're blown which I don't believe you are.

The Carrera GT was probably just cruising because no way in hell is an E36 keeping up with a supercar. And it has nowhere near 300 HP with just intake and exhaust. It'll be lucky to have 240 WHP and even that's a stretch.

.
I have been to the track a countless number of times and seen many E46 M3's and the fastest stock one I saw was hitting 13.1@107MPH(6spd). This was at sears point raceway(now infineon). High 12's was probobly on drag slicks.

I'm confused because whatever M3 I'm talking about I thought ran mid-13's stock? The 2002-2004 was probably the year, and it was in fact manual. The one that's 333 HP from the factory, I thought it was the E46? And to answer your question the SRT-8 runs high 12's bone stock and they're AWD obviously because they're 4-wheel drive all the time.

The SLK55 should have walked you fairly easily unless you're blown which I don't believe you are.
I expected the SLK55 to walk me I couldn't figure out what was going on! Maybe he just wanted to let me feel better, lol.

Yeah the M3 was nowhere NEAR keeping up I know the video it's tough to see. But everytime there was a decent stretch of the road the Carrera would take about 10-15 car lengths, lol. But around turns we were gaining like CRAZY for some reason! I have honestly never seen a car handle like my buddy's M3. Around turns it was literally up the a-s of the Carrera the entire time.

Nope bone stock. The guy is pretty well known on those forums and if he was running DRs they woulda stated DRs. There are others there that have run 12.8X 12.9X stock.

I believe you it just seems hard to run a 1.760ft with stock tires. Still if he did it then that boy can drive!

Hey dude, I raced the SLK55 up on Concord Pike, but the rest of the races were either off Elkton Rd. or off backroads in PA.

SRT-8 should be consistently beating the M3 as stated. The CL-S though, has absolutely NO chance against an SLK55 AMG, maybe it was an SLK350, I'd believe that.

The SLK55 AMG for all you out there who don't know much about it is 100lbs lighter than us with 355hp and 376lbtq and it should run consistently 12.8-13.2 completely stock. The SRT-8 vs the SLK55 AMG would be a race, but the CL-S has no chance with your mods.

Toying around and racing are very different

Yeah I know toying around and racing are very different, completely agree with you there. And I honestly am PRETTY sure it was a SLK55 but it could have been a SLK350 if that makes more sense and they look the same? But the white car in the picture is the exact car that I raced it's not like a random picture of a Mercedes.

Sounds like if the Benz was really racing, it was the SLK350. They have 270Hp/260TQ, and come in 6MT or 7AT. Some old fella (60+) in a new S550 was messing around with me a couple weeks ago, those have close to the same (slightly tweaked, 25 more hp/20tq) engine as SLK55. It was pretty damn fast considering it weighed 4300 lbs. I didn't know off the line that he was racing, but he would have hurt me from a stop anyways. The SLK is about the same weight as a CLS, so that equals death for us.

About the old M3, what is considered fully modded in your book? Are you talking just I/H/E or ecu upgrade, injectors, fuel pump, cams, etc? They are close to 240hp/240tq stock, I don't think just I/H/E would add 60 crank hp/tq and definitely not 60 wheel hp/tq.

Jeep does have 420hp/420tq, but it also weighs 4800 pounds! I am impressed that an American car company only added .4 of a liter from 5.7 (HEMI) to 6.1 yet pulled an extra 90hp out of it (and 50tq). It also seems to me that given the power to weight ratios of the new M3 and SLK55, they should both be able to at least keep up with and/or take the SRT8 with a good driver.

Oh, and
