After getting off of work, I decided to take a few photos for a while. Then I decided to take a detour over to Wendy's for a midnight snack. I drove down I-5 doing 70ish keeping up with traffic until I hit my exit. I slowed down like normal people do on a offramp and slowed down to the green light just to make sure no one was there, rounded the corner to the left, and decided to take off on 512 East. No one was on it but me. I decided to open 'er up to get a lil bit of video tapage, hit 90 mph, then immediately slowed down to 60. You probably already know whats going to happen next...

Red and Blues popped on.

Cop(with shiney Mag Light) - "Do you know what you were doing?"

Me(Puples dialate from the strong light) - "Videotaping for Acurazine.com."

Cop(His face turns to a frown) - "Let me see your license."

Me(Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit) - Hands him the license and military ID.

Cop(Sits in his car for 10 minutes, then comes back) - "Follow the directions on the back of the ticket."

Me(#&!, !*#*) - *My time was coming, I drove off into the night laughing histarically*

Yes, I was being stupid, sorry for making the statistics raise on Male insurance policies.

I'm just ranting cuz the bill is expensive and I hate tickets.

 

Bummers dude. How much was the ticket and where's the video???

sorry man. i feel your pain. i just a ticket coming back from vegas. it was early and i had an open road and .... flew by a cop waiting for me in the middle of the 15. total damage-$500.

 

I do have good news though...maybe.

With the Washington state law:

RCW 46.61.525
Negligent driving — Second degree.

(c) Negligent driving in the second degree is a traffic infraction and is subject to a penalty of two hundred fifty dollars.

^^What I'm seeing that the officer might have overcharged me????

And he didn't write the speed down on the ticket, just the infraction...I might get out of this.

Why the hell did you tell him you were videotaping, you had to know that couldnt be a good thing. It had to be dark out if he was using a Mag Light, so how would he have known that you were videotaping unless you have one of those old BetaMax Video players and it was sitting on your shoulder as you were driving down the road, Now that would be a site.

gm i had a similar issue about two weeks ago on my way to work... i decided to step on it from 1st to 2nd and a undercover cop spun his car around and came behind me while i stopped at 7-11 said i was doing 60 in a 35... then he had the nerve to say "go inside the store and get what you were going to get" i go in and im nervous n shyt, then i drop 4 coffee lids couldnt pour it without shaking ( i only pulled into the 7-11 cause i saw him turn around)... my appetite was gone lol...
so i have to pay a ticket for 1-9mph over the speed limit... i dont know how much it is yet

 

very sad more then likely you will get out of it if he didnt put the speeding down

 

Holy crap that's expensive. You should have kept the camera going when you got pulled over. That would have made it for me.

Sounds like another case of speeding, I had two tickets this year alone also, so dont feel shitty man. I need to get a radar so those sorry asses wont pray on me !

Post a pic of the ticket. I have heard about some large fines, but it's usually because on top of writing a ticket for speeding, he includes reckless driving and other infractions.

 

just the infraction...no MPH

 

I've talked to my lawyer and he said the ticket is garbage. Took the sweat off my back.
