Hey guys, I just got back from a 2300 mile roundtrip roadtrip. The cl made it good, no problems, however shes jerking as I brake now, any ideas? (rotors were re surfaced last year and new pads last year). What all do you check after a road trip?

Tires, belts and fluids? or do you go deeper and check suspension and stuff? Just curious

 

its shud be fine.
maybe the rotors a wraped, a common problem of the cl.
i resurfaced mine 2x and guess what they are still warped today.......
so, i drive it like that.

some pads might be worn dwn more than others a frozen or stuck caliper problem, This happened to mine, I unstuck it and it felt ok for a while but ............ back to its old ways...........
I also once disconnected the ABS when i was putting in the side mounts and it drove great without ABS 4 three days.
so i came to the conclusion that it was the ABS that was messing up.(maybe i needed a brake flush)

 

Thanks pois, I'll do that as well, (disconnect the abs) she needs an overhaul anyway. lol cant hurt

 

Check your brake fluid. Then I would say your rotors are warped again. Rotors will warp more on long HW trips.
I've had it happen in other cars. I used to do 2500 miles trips 10 times a year or more.
