Also, the Mcoupe probably got "just" as much attention as my Viper gets....people were all over it (so if thats a big issue, stay away from the Mcoupe).

<-- likes his CL-S exterior more than S4 exterior.
sorry, but that care looks WAY too plain.
I would rather get the 2001 Audi allroad quattro and PIMP it out with TV, and 21" rims..

Don't understand...
1) Wouldn't you want to start over and build up a new DIFFERENT car. Not buy a already modded one.
2) No one else here has the problem of seeing the coolest and baddest car in your town up for sale but why would you want to buy it becuase as soon as u go by some1 they say oh yea there goes Joe Smith's car when actually u own it. Any1 understand. Be DIFFERENT

Happy CL-S Pilot
I went and saw a 01 Z06! Very nice from outside and looks like crap from inside....
Are those at Chevy idiots, how can they justify an interior that looks like a cavalier? this is a $50,000 car..... I need something with an interior like a Porsche, Ferrari, or at least an Audi.

Chevy put the dollars in other crucial areas for top performance
What do you get for $50k from Porsche? An overpriced Boxster...I'll take the Z06 thanks.

For the price of the S4, my first choice would be a base-level '02 Corvette hatchback with the Z51 suspension upgrade and 6-speed. Those cars are rockets in stock form, easily upgradeable, an absolute blast to drive (even as a daily commuter car) and the engine would probably last longer than the high-boost S4 engine.

Does it matter. The new corvette will run 12's supposably. Would you rather have 400hp n/a or 400hp with turbos. I'll take the n/a anyday.

Your a bit off, the C5 happens to have a great resale value (even low mileage C4's hold fairly strong, although they did take somewhat of a shit after the C5 came out)....the C5 has been going down slightly because the model is almost 5 years old- but regardless, the car holds its value extemely well when compared to other sports cars.
Unfortunately, no car is an investment.

The toys are cool, but if your buying the car your better off with the 1SA package...when you resell the car, especially to the dealer (the only add on in Galves value guide is a CD changer)- so the guy that buys the $42k C5 coupe will make out "much" better than the guy who bought the $47k coupe.
But, then again- toys are cool .

I would move first, mchtypeS. Wouldn't you be worried that the S4 would get boosted too? Just my .02.

I'm moving to Hawaii and don't see the point in taking my CL-S with me(leasing terms/fees)So I will be using Audi's Graduate financing to get a S4 Avant Santorin Blue, Blue Alcantra leather, 6 speed, premium package, with heated seats. I was thinking about the sedan but I want to put my surfboards inside and I might have a kid in a few years.
I would suggest the same to you.

I work for Ford at the Edison Assembly Plant, in NJ. Where they build the Ranger & Mazda b-series pick-up's.
O by the way the focus svt will be released this comming year 2002 with 170-180hp,(thats more than the SI) & a 240hp turbo version is lurking soon in the future...???
If someones really serious about buying a Ford product I can get them a Z-plan discount = a little over dealer invoice.
**I tried to get my friend one of those Mazda MP-3's the sticker was like $18,??? it would have been like $16,000& they wouldn't honor it. They had a mark-up of 3000 just for limited production. $21,??? for a 140hp mazda nope... It looked real nice though.**

Here's an idea: buy a late-model used family sedan (for good resale after a year to 1/2 year of use; Camrys and Accords are always good bets) to hold you over until the new Nissan Z, Infiniti G35, Mazda RX-8, or even possibly the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, arrives. This way you'll have a wider (and neater) selection of cars to choose from, plus not having to settle for a car at the end of its model run (S4) or anything else you're not into (American cars).
