What "Car" programs do you watch on the cable?
No more speedvision..
ESPN-2 has mostly boring NASCAR shows and some interesting NHRA drag racings.
However, there is no Auto shows, nor auto crossings or Car Industry news.
What do you recommed to watch?

On Saturday or Sunday morning, at 8am or 9am, the History has "Automobile" on a random basis. I enjoy seeing the history behind different makes of automobiles. I'd watch the Speed Channel if I had satellite or digital cable, but my stupid basic does not subscribe. On Suday morning, on TNN, there are a variety of car shows: Car & Driver, Hot Rod, Horsepower TV, etc. Most of these shows deal with subjects I'll never be involved with, but I'm just a car nut and I'll stare at anything dealing with cars. Personally, I do not enjoy oval track racing (I don't car if it's the Indy 500, the Daytona 500, etc.). My favorite is road racing like the Touring Cars (4 door BMW's vs. Audi vs. Volvo vs. Saab vs etc.), F1, Trans-Am, 24 hrs. of Daytona and LeMans, IMSA GT and the like.
Occasionally, I'll setup my HO Scale TYCO slot car set. When I do that, my wife only sees the back of my head for days on end.

On Sat. mornings I listen to Ed Wallace "Inside Automotive" radio show. He does a "respectable" job bringing car info to people. His research and info about dealers and auto manufacturing is second to none.

Does anyone listen to Car Talk on the weekends? It airs at various times on NPR (National Public Radio). It based around people calling in with car problems, but humor is the underlying theme. The hosts are Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers. They have a web site <www.cartalk.com> where you can listen to the entire show on streaming audio as well as find tons of car info, like consumer polls and feedback about the cars they own. If you like to laugh, it's worth a try.
