What bulbs will work for fog lights in 01 CL-S?

I would like to get brighter bulbs in my fog lights, but I don't want melt downs. What bulb can I use?

Most people swapping out juz the bulbs use Polarg or PIAA. I had PIAA on my old CL and it was a huge improvement over stock.

I have used both Polag M6 and PIAA 19224. No meltdown issues. I know of people that complain that there was a slight issue of discolored lenses, but no meltdowns. I personally have had no issues.

Right now I'm running PIAA LED's cause my 19224 burnt out. The LEDs look alright I guess they aren't as bright if you ask me. Here's a pic.

The LED's look good. What is the model number, and how do you install them?

I think the number is 19263. My bad, that pic is a new pic and what you are actually seeing are just Polarg Hybrid Hyper white 5W wedge bulbs. They are the exact same size as stock, just w/ a tint over them. I changed out the LED's cause they were just concentrated beams and did nothing. Personally I liked the M6 or the PIAA 19224. But the LEDs are just wedge bulbs and fit like stock.

I have yellow PIAA's in mine, makes it look a little like the Lexus' you see out there.
PIAA 19173 - Ion Yellow.
I'm very happy with how that looks.
Just a suggestion.

No way, the Maint' Light Question beats this one hands down...

Do these suggestions cause plastic failures?

I did searches, but they failed to tell me if the suggested replacements were causing meltdowns, decolorized lenses and / or other failures. I do not want a bulb that causes a structural problem. I guess I should have been clearer on my original question.

Won't they burn the light housing and lenses?

Oh, they also sell Reveal 100W GE's at Walmart that give out a great white light. I wanna say they come in packs of 4. Slight modification needed. Just messing with you.

No guarantees but you shouldn't have any issue w/ PIAA 19224 or Polarg M6. Only issue might be fitting either bulb into housing. I've heard of people using a dremel to make hole slightly larger. Putting bulbs in have never been an issue for me, but taking them out have. I've shattered 2 bulbs. Easiest way is to take whole housing out. Good luck.

I posted a newer pic which are actually not PIAA LEDs they are Polarg Hybrid Hyper White 168 I think. Basically, 5W bulbs like stalk, just w/ blue tint. The shop I go to was out of the M-6's.
The PIAA LED's I used to run were PIAA 19263. Because it was just one LED, the beam was so concentrated, I didn't think it did much in terms of looks.
I usually use M6 or PIAA 19224.
I don't know how many stock CL's S or P that I see around town w/ at least one blown out road lamp.

Well it's not like the roadlamps are there for anything but looks anyway :P

I see CL's with a burnt out roadlamp all the time.

Are these good...or do I need the 5w...Im afraid that the 18W is too much or might burn something....I bought it on EBAY cause it said CL...here it is
