What 18s look good on the CLS?

My cousin has a CLS and he asked me what 18s would look good on it. I told him none and get 19s. But that didnt work... so his price is around 1500-2000 with tires to spend. What would you get?

Pics help too.

Anyone have axis hagens in 18s?

no no type r. its not about bling... its bout proportion.

yes... my wheels are bling. but im not limited to chrome...

my next wheels will be 3pc with black centers.

I LOVE Astro's 19's... the bronze advans which weigh less then most 18's.

You can have just as much sport with 19's as 18's and look better while doing it.

18s are just too small for this boat.

i would have loved to have gone 19"

unfortunately 19" = slow

so 18's and a 3" drop will have to do

I have to agree with SickTypeS. I searched for a long time which rims to get, and ended up with 18" Mantas. They look simple but PHAT!! The part that I love is that the rim looks bigger than it actually is, since the spokes curve all the way to the top of the rim.

Here is a pic of my car with the rims on it. It's the only pic I have for now, but more are comming soon.........

If you're going with 18s, get SSR GT1s.

recently saw a set of GT3's on a black A4 which looked exceptionally sharp. Don't think the GT1's are as hot as the 3's, but are a bit less expensive - if that is a consideration.

GT3s look much better in 19" and with a deep lip, like you see on BMWs, which isn't really feasible on a CL...otherwise I'd probably have them instead of my Se7ens. In 18" for a CL, I'd go with the GT1s since the spokes go all the way out to the tire which makes the wheel appear to be larger. Plus, they're cheaper as mentioned above. But on the budget mentioned in this thread, I think it would have to be GT1 imitations.

Hey Soopa, all the times I've been in Albany and I still can't figure out how you drive on those roads w/ 19's. Not saying Bflo roads are any better (they aren't) but I was just in Albany two weeks ago for a 2 hour hearing w/ a federal judge and yer roads ain't nothin' to write home about. You must have steel ballz!
