What is $504? My 30K Service
I just paid $504 at Ryan's open Raod Acura in NJ. $104 in parts, $400 of labor!!!!!!!!!!!!! They changed my oil, oil filter, ATF fluid, brake fluid, Windsheild wiper blades, gave me more washer fluid, and some other small meaningless thing!!!!!!

All these "stealership" threads make me appreciate my dealership. They have never once screwed me over... or my family for that matter. This is our 4th acura, and like 8th honda

CLS 6MT Navi
I only paid for a dealer 'service' once. When I saw they didn't rotate the tires like was listed I wondered what else they didn't do for their overblown price. I learned from that mistake.

Yeah, Im not going to go back to that dealer anymore. I would do all the work myself, but i dont feel like laying on the ground under the car.

Oh, they should have changed the cabin filters too ('cause that in the 30K).
Last time I has my CLS serviced at the dealer they forgot to rotate the tires... I figured that they might have forgotten to change the oil too
They did have alot to do, as they redid the front rotors and had to redo the rears, since they screwed up on the parking brake adjustment (they didn't check to see if the rear pads were dragging). I worn out my rear pads (down to 3mm) because of it They took care of it, but said the brake wore out because of "rust"
If they are going to charge a premium, they need to at least do the job right (the first time). I'm better off servicing my car myself. Not only from a cost standpoint, but also to insure that stuff is done correctly... It's pretty bad when the customer knows more about their car then the dealership
Buy a Helms service manual , and do the stuff yourself

My only other local option is First Acura (formerly Acura of Newport), but a friend of a friend used to be a tech there, and told me some stories about the owners of the dealership. Not sure about the alligations, but it's enough to make me wonder. He's now a tech at a more "customer oriented" honda dealer.
